Couldn't agree more. Number one thing is show them how its valuable to them. Make sure your pitch answers the question: Is it worth their time?

A game like this is truly innovative and amazing. It is so interesting to throw people into a world and see what they do first and what they build (how they behave). I also consider this a drug cuz its highly addictive!!

I got an amusing "get naked now"

I think this blog post title doesn't cover everything in your post. Yes it is evident that brilliant people worked together and made something brilliant. Then you go on to say if you have no friends or family use the social web/world. None of the successful partnerships you mentioned met through YOUR recommended way of finding partnerships.

Personally I don't recommend going out and look for partnerships. Its an easy way to get into a co-founder battle or have different interests that you only discover 2 months later. All those successful partnerships named early on are people who knew each other better than they knew themselves or just worked really well together. Going out and just networking isn't going to get you such a relationship. What you need to do is form a deep relationship and constantly shoot the shit and work on projects together, that way you can determine weather you work well or not (schools and living together are all things you can do this at, and is also common among all the successful partnerships mentioned above).

However the system relies on upvotes to see good articles from the bad ones. So the system would still rely on upvotes but perhaps not give karma? #my2cents

I hate to see EV continue to use the word luck because it makes me think that he just happened to be there and didn't really do anything. He needs to step up and take credit. Like all of you say the title throws you off. Its more a person who seems to be threatened by younger entrepreneurs or the ambitious youth of today.

However he is right in one thing, he is not right in saying that too many young entrepreneurs is a bad thing, he is right that we do not have enough experienced people in company culture, finance, HR etc. aspects companies need for after the 5 year struggle. (at least in the valley)

A national internet ID is ahead of our time. Until our grandparents are ready to commit to such a thing, (maybe even the 40+ generation) something like it wont happen.

I see some serious potential. This could allow people to make their ideas come to life or at least increase the amount of nicer designed sites and personal websites.

If you can't handle the harsh realities than you are not ready to be an entrepreneur. It's the ability of an entrepreneur to not quit when things are down, to inspire others that are ready to give up, and to continue to lead through times of failure and success.

With that in mind, are we really advancing society with this?

Still, Executive Chairman and CEO are two rather "big" titles. If he can juggle both and be successful I will be impressed. We will never really know how much effort he puts into each role.
