Voron isn't quite the only open printer. There are some others that are loosely based on/related to Voron, like Micron and Salad Fork, plus Ratrig which has a very different lineage.
Huh, it very well might. 90Sr is a beta emitter, which should excite phosphorescent materials nicely. Even better, it decays into Yttrium 90, and Yttrium Aluminate is also phosphorescent (it's also the YA in YAG lasers). Anyone have some spare 90Sr we can test this with?

My custom built 3D printers are somehow less annoying to use than my HP inkjet and laser printer, and I was already planning on getting a different brand when they died. This seems like HP is suddenly trying to play hard to get when they're already hard to want.
Much of the time the size of your army was determined by the number of able bodied men that lived on your lands, and they were armed with whatever weapons and gear they brought with them. Feeding and housing them wasn't that much of an expense, either, since armies would often confiscate whatever food they needed from farms and towns along the way (leading to the 3rd amendment of the US Bill of Rights.)
It wasn't until standing armies with standardized weapons and gear became more of the norm that a smaller, better equipped army was really even an option, and by that point firearms technology (and artillery) had progressed enough that armor wasn't very useful. Even then, soldiers wearing a cuirass into battle were still a thing up until WWI, so it's not like the practice died overnight.

It also depends on storage method. Cryogenic and compressed hydrogen have extreme risks completely unrelated to the flammability of the gas itself, while various metal hydride options are mostly a danger if you drop the tank on your foot.

If you're not killing anything, then probably not. It's not a bad thing to be conscientious of, but if static just isn't a problem for you and you aren't handling super sensitive components, stressing about it isn't terribly productive.
Most of what I've been able to find have been people getting busted for manufacturing or possession without an associated violent crime. It also appears a number of departments can't (or won't) recognize printed firearms and just call everything without a serial number a "ghost gun" and call it a day.
It hasn't affected my usage so far. I even sometimes use yt-dlp when YouTube proper won't serve a video without pausing to buffer every ten seconds, so in some ways it works better than the web interface.
Yeah, hens aren't loud or smelly, so as long as you take measures to curb issues with pests they attract, they're fine. Just don't get a rooster.

I'd go for Modernist Cuisine At Home by Nathan Myhrvold, then his Modernist Cuisine set for a more thorough look at food science. Generally, modernist cuisine/molecular gastronomy related resources can have some good info on food science, though a lot of them focus on being flashy.
Traditionally, hand carve the ring out of wax and use a lost wax casting method. These days you can 3D print in a wax filament or machine the wax in multiple pieces, hand finish, then cast.

I don't see those two ideas being contradictory. After all, what's more cyberpunk than a corporation adopting a child, locking him into a fake ("virtual" seems an appropriate word) reality, and monitoring his every move for their own purposes? The first act of The Matrix is pretty much a condensed Truman Show.

I'm not even remotely suggesting eugenics. What I am saying, in a rather tongue in cheek manner, is that sooner or later your own judgement needs to come into play and driving into the water because the voice told you to is probably a self-inflicted injury. There's only so much hand holding you can do to protect people from themselves, and coddling isn't a long term solution for anything.

I don't have or want a Twitter account, but have found a few accounts that are worth checking in on (a lawyer whose firm is working on a few cases I'm interested in, the CEO of a company that has a product I'm waiting for, local police blotter, etc.), but Twitter is useless without being signed in now. If Twitter fails, I would expect to see an event something like what's happening now.
edit: It's also worth noting that Twitter closing shop completely and selling off the name to a cuckoo clock manufacturer is incredibly unlikely. What's more likely is that "failure" will be playing a distant second to Threads or Bluesky (or both).

In places with a lot of workers that suddenly went remote, yes, but the places they moved to saw increases.
The friction seems to be a selling point for a significant number of users that want to keep Joe and Jane Average out. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, but it seems unlikely that any ActivityPub-based system will ever a 1:1 replacement for Reddit or Twitter or see nearly the scale of use that those platforms currently enjoy.
Interesting, though I'm not seeing exactly what sets Polystruder's machines apart from everything that's already on the market, besides price.
A major pain point of their competition has been an inability to produce decent quality filament with a consistent diameter throughout the batch. If that's solved, even partially, it might be useful for bigger users or maker spaces.
Bronze is superior to iron, but not to steel. Both bronze and steel can take very sharp edges while only steel can be tempered to be springy and tough and therefore can make much lighter weapons. Iron is soft, weak, prone to rusting, can't easily take or hold an edge, and requires a lot of fuel to process from ore, but you can get it anywhere in large quantities if you have the fuel, while bronze needs the much harder to find tin.
