That was a change we just recently made within the past week. We went to a newer, nicer, more modern theme.

The article discusses some great points. I think one of the big issues effecting college grad underemployement is also that there not as many people going into technical schools. Those are careers which are almost always in demand much like the STEM fields the article discusses but there is somewhat of a stigma about going for technical things vs. liberal arts or the full on STEM areas.

The only problem I see with that is that one of the reasons notebooks are so cheap is because you almost constantly need new ones. They either get filled up or worn out relatively quickly. Therefore, companies know you will have to buy more to replace the ones you've already bought. That is part of the reason they are so cheap.

The same probably wouldn't be true for e-notebooks. They could hold tons more notes and hopefully be more durable than notebooks. Due to those factors, a company who produces them knows they aren't going to have as many reoccurring sales in the future to replace the e-notebook, so they are going to likely charge more up front.

Yeah, but most would probably prefer to just buy a tablet and use that instead since they can use it for more then just an e-notebook, unless there was a way to make e-notebooks cost similar to traditional notebooks which I just can't see happening.

Couldn't you just buy one the $60 tablets and use that? I get your point about appreciating the tablet more than a notebook, but even if e-notebooks were dropped in price, I couldn't see it falling much below the price of the tablets in the $60 range.

In my opinion, ads wouldn't be so bad if people didn't abuse them and make them so intrusive. The sites that love pop-ups, spam ads, and tons a flashy banners and what not ruins it for any site that tries to be responsible with their ads.

I remember seeing somewhere (can't remember if it was online, or on the show) where the Sharks talked about how a lot more goes into the deal then the little snippet of them talking that is shown on TV. Obviously that makes sense, as the info from the little snippet is often superficial. The exposure for the company presenting their items is probably one of the best parts. I would think if you are set to capitalize on that then you have a good shot of doing decently, even if the Sharks don't back you (although this guy even has problems with that).

This should definitely be a concern, but I feel like most people don't even realize that anything like that could happen. There is lots a news about webcams, baby monitors, etc. being hacked, but barely any warnings about making sure you keep your phone protected and secure, too.

A lot of breakthroughs in science have a similar fate. One example was finding that DNA was a double helix with Watson, Crick, and Rosalind Franklin. Watson and Crick got all the credit but Franklin definitely played a major role in that discovery and was mostly written out.

Not particularly surprising, the government has ways to get around the encryption anyways, it just takes longer than if they had the backdoors to go through.

SEO is more important to generate unique, long lasting traffic in my opinion. AdWords is good for a quick little burst, but unless you plan on paying for the adverts for a long period of time most of the traffic drops off after the ad ends.

I've never had an issue with my shoulder while using a laptop, computer, or tablet. But if you are forced to hold your shoulder in a certain way with how you are using the device, it certainly could happen.

Good point. Several other retailers (Sears, Footlocker, Macy's) are also closing stores but the difference is that Wal Mart is planning on opening stores in stronger markets whereas those other retailers are not.

I would say the results of the "experiment" were pretty much what I expected after hearing about the research into the effects of caffeine on the news before.

I think that's a good point, any reinforced case would likely prevent this from happening. I'm guessing we will probably see Apple offering free cases again as they did with the iPhone 4 if it is a common enough problem.

I think that other companies announcing their plans for VR is one of the reasons Oculus sold to FB, especially so quickly. They see themselves needing the backing of a big tech company if they want to be able to compete with companies like Sony or Microsoft.

I think that what you mention - a tech conglomerate - is what Facebook wants to become. Of course, it's going to be hard for them to do that, at least for some years, because people are going to hear "Facebook" and all they are going to think about is the social networking portion of their business.

Of course, Google was the same way at one time back when they were known only as a search engine.
