It seems like they’ve been optimising their models for coding. That’s what the benchmarks used in the article suggest at least.

Who would lobby that? On the other hand there are a lot of entities that will lobby against this.

Maybe SWEs just can think better and see that there's nothing they can do, and to fight against this is useless. Artists still hope they can change this somehow, which is impossible, the people with money and datacenters want more money and don't really care about the people that are getting screwed over.

but if ollama is much slower, that's cutting on your fun and you'll be having better fun with a faster GUI

This is a complete scam. They didn’t even protect the API tokens, and when the author was informed that Moltbook exposes all API keys, they claimed they would tell the AI to fix it and he doesn't care.

Sideloading is already painful. I tried installing Sora (which is not available in my region's Play Store). The phone didn't allow me to start the app (complaining about integrity) unless I disabled the Play Store Integrity Checks. It wasn't straightforward in saying what the problem is and how can I bypass the check.

Russia would never trust US. Russia would never ally itself with US against China. What makes you think they will suddenly turn on their ally China, to side with US (their always-enemy)?

Economically, allying with Russia is stupid, they're poor. The only way they are making it through this war economy is the fact that Russian people are patient and are used to bad economy. The average anual salary in Russia is below $10K.

We are not going to blow up the world to save Ukraine and Russia/Putin knows this. If he decides to use nukes what are we going to do? What can we do?

They are not going to risk their security for Ukraine. They wouldn't risk starting a nuclear war over Ukraine, it's stupid, even for their standards

Another movie recommendation web app. Long ago, I used Jinni, and I liked their labelling method a lot, categorising movies by mood, plot type, character types, etc. Then, Jinni was sold, disappeared and I wanted to create something similar. The Christmas days off I had the time and I started making it.

Not gonna happen in EU too soon, imo. It still works with a VPN so the fence is not so protected.

WebKit is still a top class rendering engine and only about as buggy as any other rendering engine. Blink is of the same lineage given it is a fork of WebKit and Gecko is even older.

But we should have the option to choose. Apple is very anti-consumer, making all the choices (often bad ones) for us, giving us none. The court should rule to open Apple more. Android is open enough that you can do whatever you want, yet not complicated enough so people get confused with all the options you have.

watching sports is entertaining as you're watching highly skilled individuals perform at the highest level + gives you a sense of belonging; games - entertainment and skill development, whether those are multiplayer games that teach you cooperation and competition, or single-player games that is fun and in a lot of cases learning (through lore), developing motor skills, strategic thinking and so on; tv/reading - learning (nothing is useless information, it helps create more connections in your brain);

yet, sitting in ketchup is brainrot content - 0 value

I disagree with my Exynos S22 Ultra... Battery life is abysmal and it heats up instantly, a thing that got extremely better with Snapdragon S23 and S24. Hardware is still important

why? AI is very useful in day to day life, and having a phone with on-device capabilities is crazy useful even for those that like their privacy and are paranoid about big corpos stealing their data. I don't see any reason to hate these features.
