Agreed, the friends thing is a must. Why do you have a guitar you cant play? Either its going to stay there as a reminder that you failed at something or use it for inspiration to start! if not dump it. Possessions are not everything but friends are, so GET some. get to local meets, online and off. - and what about those mediocre skills eh? Find one programming language that you prefer and excel in it. Create an app, templates, anything as a side burner - you could even write articles for technology and development blogs. Now as for the financial security, I really cant help. Just get a high interest savings account and save save save. - But remember tomorrow is a new day and could be your last. Don't get wound up, tight or hard. Relax, enjoy yourself and your life and start living fuller. Give it meaning. So, this guy is taking homeless guy off the streets and housing him where? Surely, not leaving him in the office with a lot of equipment when you don't now him, not in your own home with the family? and what if he doesn't get housed anywhere? How will he be paid, in the UK you cant earn money without an address, nor have bank accounts etc... I'm sure its the same over your side of the pond?
Also, what stunt is he trying to pull? I agree its helping but morally the wrong way. Should I just go and find a homeless person and tell them that they can get off the streets but they have to be my personal body guard or coder or cleaner - Its not my place to decide that for anybody.
It starts off saying that it is unbreakable i.e the title, then a little way through goes onto say that its virtually impossible then towards the end it mentions that the Americans 'probably' wont be able to break it. It sounds like its just a exaggerated title to get people to click :/ but the theory behind quantum encryption is amazing.
