Do it.

The government is too Bureaucratic to act.

Critics don’t seem to understand two very important things about this

This mosquito (Asian tiger mosquito) is a newly invasive species and it can carry all of the deadly viruses

This method was successfully used to get rid of an invasive fruit fly in California/ Nevada in the 80’s

Do it

Anyone that thinks Netflix buying WB would be better than the Ellisons knows nothing about the media business. Look at what James Cameron said about it last week, everyone prefers the Ellisons over Netflix because Netflix actively wants to kill the theatrical and physical media businesses

Startups have been slowly whittling away at every business operating behind licenses and regulation for the last 2 decades.

The last 3 industry that will succumb, (imho) will be finance, legal, then healthcare in that order.

They should put certain things under nurse care without a doctor. And Lower the cost of a medical degree. The gatekeeping and regulation of medical licenses has created businesses maximizing profits behind the cloak of government regulation.

And like colleges, there’s too much back end administration adding to the costs, have to do something about that too

My theory on AI is it's the next iteration of google search, a better more conversational, base layer over all the information that exists on the internet.

Of course some people will lose jobs just like what happened to several industries when search became ubiquitous. (newspapers, phone books, encyclopedias, travel agents)

But IMHO this isn't the existential crisis people think it is.

It's just a tool. Smart, clever people can do lots of cool stuff with tools.

But you still have to use it,

Search has just become Chat.

You used to have to search, now you chat and it does the searching, and more!

People didn't seem to be nearly as upset when the studios outsourced all the VFX to cheaper off shore labor. Now off shore labor is getting replaced with sophisticated software masquerading as artificial intelligence...

complaints and protests are just little buckets that won't be able to stop the flood caused by the tides of change

A song as old as time
