Yeah me too. I really think I am going to switch to T-Mobile so I can have this phone. Fortunately, I live near D.C. and don't travel much so I coverage shouldn't be an issue. It's just annoying how Verizon won't let a phone that gets updates straight from Google on its network.
I made an app for my county's online grade book and would definitely hate it if my app was considered the county's work now. This is somewhat scary because my county(Loudoun) is close to Prince Georges.
The gates should not be completely closed though. By default maybe, but there should definitely be a way to make it open for the people that want it to be open. For example I received a hp pavilion laptop and wanted to install another os on it. All I had to do was set secure mode off in the bios and it was ready. That is a good solution because it works for both the grandma who wants the security of secure-boot, and me who wants to tinker.

I really doubt that it would stop the problem. Viruses would still be made by the militaries/agencies.
I think it is due to whose signature it is. Stuxnet was signed by Realtek, while Flame had Microsoft's signature.
