was in the android camp for a long time, many of my friends wasted hours with android modifying and breaking the phone, it was fun but now I have an iphone that just works.

Pretty high, we are going to be deploying something similar to Sono's GPT based LLM, and leverage RWKV for that, still playing around with it though!

one of the authors here!, I think someone in our discord did experiments to prove that it does work for longer contexts, The pace of this work moves really fast. This might have been an earlier models in the series. RWKV it needs to be trained for longer contexts lengths in order to obtain that skill a context tuning if you will. IRCC there will be a follow up paper for it.

I honestly thought it was just me, but I agree the software quality has been at an all time low...

MOOC's have been shown to be ineffective most people dropout, and if you learn from an MOOC its unlikely you will hit most of the concepts, I think I have seen that when I worked as a tech recruiter for a year, there were tonnes and tonnes of iOS "Developers" who learned from coding shoppes and mooc they never make it past fizz buzz or even building anything more sophisticated then a twitter api call app.

In Canada here, you have this opposite issue I was just fired because a couple of 35+ said I was not a culture fit LOL, despite bringing a project out of development hell and giving the product a doable realistic feature.

Okay so, the first thing I would do is join this community http://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap. Once you do you will feel alot of social anxiety go away, since it's likely you would be "letting" go of your testosterone that way.

A friend of mine had an addiction and started with this and it worked out so well for him.

Next you need to hit the gym, and start small and try 3 days a week.

Second make some goals about things you want to get done before you reach next year.

Next do deep introspection, think about your self in the third person, and ask your self what you hate about yourself.

Go write it down and spend a everyday on one of those things and chip away at it by breaking it down into smaller tasks.

Lastly Smile people love other people who smile, it makes them more approachable.

Nice writeup, I always felt mongodb as a really fast product prototyping database . After you get to certain point you in web scale I would guess you would use one of these alternate solutions.

I don't think the author has heard of JSON,restful end points, and or design patterns, I don't understand why he would develop with the intent of rendering the pages on the server side, when the client can do that faster and you can reduce server load. Not only is that a performance advantage its a design advantage, now you can have mobile clients that render data natively and you don't have to work as hard to develop for mobile.

I feel the author does not have enough development experience, or maturity to make such an statement. The reason for such frameworks is to clean up the mess and the void left with years of neglect on the web as a platform. To possibly blossom ideas, on how to improve the web, clearly not many people can agree on standards

I think articles like these are akin clickbait. Mature developers understand that every paradigm has it's place. I mainly use functional for data processing and pipelining, and OOP for object modeling.

This is a great idea, I can keep my skills up to date and be employable, if my Canadian startup fails.

Building a app or company, depends on markets, it is independent of technology. My Alma-Mater taught functional programming and outdated technologies, and I thought it was useless, but generally you can abstract away these ideas to be used in a new framework. Be technology agnostic, I am pretty upset about swift too after dedicated many hours to learning objective-c syntax. The most that swift would add to the over head is

1. new syntax 2. functional paradigm on top of the oop paradigm, and a new way of thinking.

Everything I know about oop stays the same and design patterns more or less the same!

Many of these companies started off small and built a market focused product before going full R and D.

As you can see these companies are looking to sustain their empires, so they have to "innovate" in someway, it doesn't mean you need to adopt new features.

I think your problem is your software design skills possibly need to be more TDD and at the same time hire some VA's to handle customer support tickets.

At the end of the day its a product in the market, not the product written with the latest framework, when you have market traction and a business case, and lots of funding, you can worry about catching up with the times.

I hate Microsoft because I would say that they probably do not utilize you to your full extent or that they must shelve alot of your projects, Microsoft does not appear to be innovating and or utilizing R and D properly, the next thing is just half assing everything they have built. If they could build things like how they built visio my god that company would be in a good place in my mind. Another reason I hate Microsoft is that they are not unix based. I mean like unix solved like 90% of the the OS problems. Like for fucks sake adopt open standards. That is all.

The great thing about me is that I have really nothing to begin with, over the years I have learned there isn't much to live for. My view is this, you grow up told that your gonna go get an office job, be a doctor, be an engineer, then work get married if your lucky, have kids if your lucky, travel a bit then die. This sounds great and all, but I want to make a difference you know? not be another grain of sand following the same pattern. I am willing to sacrifice any chance of the above happening simply because I feel, I can already see the ending, this way the ending is more in my control.

The author of this article is obviously someone who doesn't see the bigger picture of mobile apps. The problem is inexperienced developers who drop out (programmers) think they can 1. Write an Instagram clone or some one hit wonder app and expect it to help them build a business without any science behind what they do, obviously those will tank, its a not an app that supports a company, its shown time and time again that it is the web back end that supports a company and all those services. btw I am not a web developer, I am an native developer.
