I'm also a Go+SQlitemaxxer. For my first SaaS I focused on keeping the list of external services very short, as I basically couldn't afford it. I only picked those services that were a) vital b) could be replaced with a homegrowned/FOSS alternative.

Besides keeping the costs down, I find that this approach makes it way more enjoyable to build and easier to manage than having 10 services/subscriptions.

*PS: I think that you could add a small QR Code for the iOS/Apple installation on your app's website.

Yeah the RAE is super useful to end debates on what a word means, thats it. I see no issues with language not "evolving enough". Spanish written/talked a century ago is different than what it's spoken presently, even if the words mean the same.

Having recently finished the book (awesome btw), Acidalia Planitia, Pathfinder and Schiaparelli where my first 3 queries

I think it barely works outside of the US, but this is usual with most of the quick actions in Spotlight. Its kinda crazy all the extra options you get on Spotlight once you land in the USA.

Ghost 5.0 4 years ago

Ive installed and used Ghost several times in the past, sadly, the versioning and resource hogging is just too much. (Im specially picky on resource utilization). Nevertheless, I may try the new features and see if its worth it now. Congrats on the release!

I too had the same issue, I figured you must click the "Sorted by 1 field" badge. I wanted to sort by # of employees and I couldnt see the first few rows.

Ali, what’s up 4 years ago

Ive seen this exactly in the Spanish language (es-PE) version too. You also get suggestions that literally include XXX and other key terms

As usual Bartosz with another extremely high quality post, I have one question, in this bit:

However, when the driving gear can’t rotate because it’s blocked by the rest of the gear train, the cannon pinion can overpower the friction of that tight fit and rotate on its own. This lets us set time without interfering with the gear train, which could break the delicate parts.

How can the cannon pinion (green) both overpower the friction to slide freely and also be attached to the driving gear (blue) when functioning regularly?

Does this imply that the driving gear and cannon pinion wear each other out every time you adjust the time?

Yes it basically means superb, it comes from G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) but it means it has reached the status to fight for GOAT.

Looks great, just a comment on the marketing screenshots. There seems to be an awful lot of "wasted" space in the editors. Maybe at least consider showing code that is a bit wider ? ~80 chars? (maybe HTML Code?) I feel like horizontal space is way more important on a 9.7" screen than on a 24" monitor.

Indeed, I started with VIM when I was in uni and things were kinda slow. After a few weeks/months I was very happy with it and it truly felt as a productivty booster. (I switched between VSCode with vim keybindings and Neovim). Then, for last year's AoC I wanted to explore Lisp, so after weeks of trying out sbcl and running it thru the terminal I finally tried Doom Emacs. And for me too, its been a journey, its a "text editor" that truly exemplifies what a good 40yo+ piece of software should be.

but you can set also an alias for the solution above and dont depend on wether the tool supports the ENV var or not

Its curious that in tv/film people's identity is censored by blur/pixelation/black bars on eyes and, documents are always censored by black bars. I dont recall seeing pixelation used for text, then why do we mostly go for pixelation in the first place when wanting to omit info on screen.
