I agree that the stats don't provide insight regarding game play and strategy. IBM has been providing the same weak stats for years now. I would like to see tennis incorporate the hawk-eye system tracking player movement and shot placement as well. Perhaps that could produce a heat map. On that note they can also eliminate the line judges while we're at it. The whole challenge system is idiotic. They have the tech, they should incorporate it throughout the sport.

A prolonged weakened economy doesn't necessarily prevent a country from developing a nuclear weapons program. Take a look at North Korea.

The article makes no mention of the USTA Junior Development program and how it could be enhanced. Nor does it mentioned their effort to court more African American players. Donating to a few colleges (which will likely be the schools with the top 1-50 rankings; take a look, they are the same as in every other NCAA sport) will do very little to scale up young American talent. My two cents: more red clay courts. Young players need to learn how to think and construct a point as opposed to over powering an opponent. Also lower the cost of participation. Maybe Ellison can donate to the USTA which would in turn subsidize the cost of lessons for those who are talented but from an economically disadvantaged background.

Agreed. There are too many various electrodes, machines and protocols for the same applications. It would be interesting to see a study that incorporates readings of neurotransmitters, MRI & EEG prior to and post tDCS application over a longer period.

I also think the chief science officer of Thync was avoiding making any medical claims as tDCS is yet to be FDA approved.
