First they came for A, and I did not speak because I was not A. Then they came for B, and I did not speak because I was not B. Then they came for C, and I did not speak because I was not C. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.

That is such a fantastic idea! I enjoy browsing science papers on the internet, especially physics, so it is very cool concept to have a site where they are boiled down into non-specialist terms. Awesome.

Stalin has always been under-rated in the United States. Truth was, he was a hero who helped to defeat the Nazis and Imperial Japan. But saying that undermines those who want Churchill and FDR to take all the credit.

Pittsburgh has remade itself as a startup ecosystem going from a steel city to a IT startup hub. Could Detroit do the same I wonder. Manufacturing is not going to be what it used to be. Can Detroit take some of those empty buildings and turn them into startup incubators? I don't know. Maybe Enimem could invest in such a project. There is little Slim Shady could not do I should think. :-)

I have an uncle who is a deposed King of Nigeria who will solve this problem for you for a small deposit and your bank account information. :-)

Year 2038 problem 13 years ago

Good point. Positive feedback for aspiring programmers is good, but also constructive advice on improvement also is needed, or, else, as you say, if naive young people get to thinking they are the next Gates or Jobs or Zuckerberg, they might skip out on really trying to learn the fundamental skills that help to create such giants. Encouragement is always good, but a sense of realism is also helpful for helping folks to improve.
