Do you have any personal experience with the immigration system at all?

He's actually agreeing it reduces the need for engineers to produce the same level of output as now. He's making the argument that companies would then desire more output to capitalize on additional ideas/projects. I could see it going either way, but likely demand will fall.
X "impressions" are not worth very much
average salary of a high school teacher in seattle is 90k plus you get summers off.. doesnt seem too bad..
I dont know too much but Jensen Huang seems like a good guy
I would imagine very rich people have extremely good lawyers though that can tell them very accurately if they will get off if it goes to trial.
well ideally more power should be distributed amongst normal people
couldnt you have control shares that weren't worth money?
What about a law where you couldnt use over a million dollars (to exclude normal people) a year of any asset as collateral for a loan unless you paid capital gains on it at its current valuation?
American devs should support the hire act bill
guns are a very efficient tool for murder or suicide. They absolutely will increase the number of deaths due to their effectiveness. Whether that's worth the societal price is up to the people.
This would be very helpful for American jobs.
Still, I'll take it
It's possible private funding could build a better incentive structure but still a shame there's far less public research being done
I think you would need the biological components of a nervous system for some of these things
No one private citizen should be able to hold that much influence
As someone more on the left I would condemn and hope any politician of any party who engages in corruption is held accountable.
Is this article out of date then? https://www.aljazeera.com/news/longform/2024/12/7/a-year-int...
Hiring someone who was part of the Com and who was already terminated once for leaking secrets seems like a pretty big security violation, whether or not it was signed off by someone.
Why would musk want another AI company or is this just to get back at Altman?
And I'm sure Hilarys email server was cleared and authorized by those with authority. That did not stop the right from making it a huge issue
If people are scared to speak out anonymous reporting is all you'll get
Well I remember a certain freakout from the other side about Hilarys email server... This seems like a far greater security violation
Well there is a lot of connections between Trump and Russia. Wiki here shows quite a few: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Links_between_Trump_associates... I'm not interested in auditing the entire thing, but like I said whether what occurred was "collusion" is something that cannot be fact-checked as it will always be a matter of opinion
You could argue a particular person spent 44 billion but its a fuzzy argument. It's hard to tell..
I think someone said it but there's a difference between facts and making an inference about those facts. The evidence in Trumps case was maybe he had a conversation with a person of Russian descent on Day X. That in itself is a fact. Does this fact or other facts like it mean he "colluded", whatever the definition of colluded means, is a matter of opinion. Even in a legal framework, where "collusion" has a definition, its still up to a jury which can get it wrong. Fact-checking is extremely complex as you are alluding to and cannot be simplified the way it has been thus far
I swear phenylephrine works... so I'm just falling for placebo?
Dems need stronger narratives and their candidates to hammer this stuff. I'll use Bernie as an example, which even if you dont agree if everything he says, the guy hammers his point home and will do it in any venue.
Joe Rogan is fine I was thinking more these folks: https://apnews.com/article/russian-interference-presidential...
The problem is he's not harris and he just started doing this like a month ago.
