I recently realized that tmux’s bindings still work inside Zellij so I’ve just been using tmux bindings and haven’t had to adjust at all

I think there's still benefit in using Nix for imperative package management, as the packages are isolated. This means you don't need to clutter your global environment with the dependencies of your programs.

Most extensions are similar to that, but you could always run NoScript or uMatrix to have more finegrained control on specific scripts/domains that are running.
