A really good way to make this happen would be for the US to just "open its borders" around the rest of the world so that every place currently outside of the US becomes a US state. (Either that or China should do it.)

Think of the efficiency: it would save many thousands of tons of fuel, reduce greenhouse gas exhaust, save people transport time and travel stress, etc.

It reminds me of the old "How do you move Mt. Fuji?" challenge. Problem solved. Next question please.

Twelve months after original publication?

They oughtta require that it's in the hands of the general public within twelve freakin' microseconds of original publication.

Twelve months makes no sense.

I've worked at a few companies where a fresh CEO asked the rank and file for a list of problems, suggestions, ideas, etc. But I've never seen it make much of a difference. I fear Marissa Meyer is already toast -- just like Yahoo.

I'm sorry but this is not actually happening in a meaningful way for the vast majority of people. Your city will never be on the list. There's way too much local government corruption and cable-co monopoly. Please stop wet dreaming on your HDTV. You'll void the warranty.

But is there any hope that medicine will find a way to enhance or strengthen any of the body's mechanisms for controlling these mutated cells and this erroneously copied DNA?

Shrinking tumors is good. It's also important to stop cancer from metastasizing. I guess this drug might end up being used as a long term "maintenance" therapy.

But I personally hope for a cancer therapy which goes beyond playing whack-a-mole against tumors. Maybe one day they'll gain a more fundamental understanding.

Maybe one day they'll actually know why the body begins to form these tumors, why its built-in anti-cancer mechanisms fail or become overwhelmed, and, most important, how to restore or unblock the body's own ability to control and limit cancer cells.

I think it's unfortunate that the author chose to use the word "model" in MOVE. It appears that the "model" in MOVE is not the same thing as it is in MVC. That risks confusing a lot of people.
