It is the flavour of the year political topics maintained by a small percentage of college students. It'll soon fade from those buzzwords and take on a new ideology. Due to the internet, it seems like much bigger of an issue than it really is.

That's exactly the problem. You are plugging inefficiencies that exist for no reason. Listening to music hampers my work because I focus too much on it. I just want a quiet room.

And to answer your question, yes.
It hugely depends on how it's asked. If you ask it in a really awkward dead pan kind of way it's going to fall flat. If you do it in an almost "indulge me" kind of banterish irony, most people get that and will string along for a bit. The funny ones will go along and end it with something like "wow, really took me for a ride there" and switch it back on you.
The ones that appreciate and understand the underlying banter are the ones I like to filter for using this tactic.
I like to go with Larry David's advice with skipping the small talk and going straight to medium or large talk. I like to open with "so how's your marriage?" Just get right into it.
The percentage to fraction made me laugh because it's totally one of my moves.

Went to website, noticed scroll override, closed site. If you're inexperienced enough to think scroll overrides are ever a good idea, your product probably sucks way more.
Neither. It's an entire experience unto itself separate from whatever ideals you think you hold.
Yeah we thought we were going quick. "Takes years for people to launch and we built a perfect system in a few months!" was kind of our approach. We literally just should have bought a theme, connected our backend, and launched, then iterated the moment we saw cash. Reading all the things in the world won't matter until you start or have some frame of reference for the things you read. Now our frame of reference is our past failure.
I got stuck starting a company with my friend and wasted months coding everything to absolute perfection with the latest bleeding edge tech when we could have coded it in a week, then we missed out chance because a huge competitor swept in with lots of VC money and ate the market. So it goes.

That's crazy, I wish I could do that. Honestly anything below 8 and I'm dead tired. My day starts at 10am, I get home at 4pm, then piano until I sleep. Repeat every day until famous.
You're reaching way too far into it. I don't understand the mentality from peers in similar life situations as me that are "so busy they barely sleep". To me that just means bad time management, because no matter how busy you are (all assuming you have free will, it's your will to be busy) you still have room for great sleep every night. "I barely get any sleep" becomes a substitute to reap the gratification from peers as if you actually accomplished something.
I never understood how people don't get sleep. Isn't it a net negative to be dragged through the mud? No matter how rough my day is I always make sure to get 8-9 hours of sleep. The world can wait for me you know? Yeah, sorry Boss, I went out drinking Sunday and I'm coming in at 1pm, too bad.
High energy all day with less time, or low energy all day with more time? I think the latter is worse.
This person sounds like a complete doormat. Can't even tell the taxi driver he prefers silence. Also it sounds absolutely awful working at Facebook, but then again I am extremely adamant to mix business and personal life. Nobody at work really knows me at all.
This is the problem with investing yourself and your identity in your work. When things change, you get crushed.
