Just because it's criminal, it doesn't mean that every private entity has to help to prevent it at costs of your privacy.

If there are people that host parties in their homes to share CSAM, does that mean that it should be mandatory to install surveillance cameras in your house?

Also as if people that are seriously sharing CSAM, wouldn't encrypt the data before sharing it.

Latta Java 17 days ago

Btw, at first sight it's unclear what the scope of this is. It seems to be one project, but then it's actually multiple smaller libraries and "Latte" is just the organisation? Also is the dependency management not it's own project?

The issue is mainly the nozzle. Ironically 3D printers are a lot easier there, since you just need to melt a thick wire, and not worry about microscopically small droplets.

When they do that (e.g. in customer support) I sometimes do the same. I explain to the AI what my end goal is, and then let it deal with the answers.

It was good for finding answers. But as a community to actually participate it was horrible. You couldn't even answer questions, because if you didn't get enough likes they would block you from answering any more.

Can also confirm that the worst part was the prepping. You have to dring 2 liters of liquid that give you diarrea... The second liter is the worst, since the body learns that it's "poison" and triggers all the reflexes to make you not swallow it.

To be fair in the specific case of CS2, the normal modes without FACEIT are really barely playable. Most games are just a massive loss or win, depending on who has the suspiciously good player with 100 hours in their team.

- There are too many views whithout explanation of what they are

- By default the position of the tools and buttons is a chaotic mess

- There are things that seem to be the same but arent (e.g. Sketch from the "Part Design" and "Sketch" view)

- The 3D view is glitchy. The reflections make things invisible, AA is off by default, there is no proper Grid...

- The QT stylesheet is kinda ugly. If you literally delete it completely and revert to the default that QT has it looks much nicer.

- The settings are a bit messy and often it's not clear what they do.

How is it a single place if every dev has a full copy of the repository? Also unless it's some software that each user customizes and builds for themselves, you still need some kind of way to tell which is the official version.

it was a hassle to get people to pose for photos

This so much. I bought a better camera for a big party my parents where organizing, and it was such a terrible experience trying to get people into a photo. Even if they welcomed the photo, they just couldn't stop moving or talking while posing for it.

My theory is that smartphones pushed people into only consuming since it's annoying to write long texts on a phone.

So you are only left with egomaniacs, spam, and old people on PC.

You're probably looking for the feeling of old-school Forums. So nowadays probably Discord servers?

Also... what on earth did you possibly comment to get banned from Reddit as a whole, and not just from a subreddit?!

Also why does their website have to look so damn ugly? Is it so hard to design something inviting? I know that's not what really matters for a git server, but I just can't take such a project seriously. "Who knows what else they didn't really care about?" in the back of my head...

Is the skill for this competition in honing the tool, or in using it? Or a combination of both?
