Hey Jono, thank you for the suggestion. I have actually been watching freecycle for a while but have had no luck.

Have you used xoom before? It looks like they're making a lot of money on the exchange rate.
I've noticed this with my own websites. Fonts consistently look great in FF and IE but terrible in Chrome. What can be done to fix this?
Email sent! Thanks!
I completely agree. I was just making the point that it isn't necessary to spend a lot of money on a logo when bootstrapping. I've had logos created by designers on Elance for around the same cost and been very pleased with the results.
Nike's logo cost $35. Twitter's logo cost $15.
I honestly didn't expect anything good, despite the satisfaction guarantees and "examples of past work" on the seller's profile. I expected to receive something very mediocre, and I was STILL disappointed.
My sole experience with Fiverr was terrible. I paid $35 to their highest-rated logo designer, who promptly delivered the worst logo I had ever seen. I'm not usually one to complain, but I was so unimpressed that I told the seller that I was not happy with the logo. His response was basically "I don't care. See ya!" I will never use Fiverr again. I've had much better luck with Elance.
Hey, thank you so much for commenting.
My father has a PhD and my mother's doctorate is in educational management. My mother's experience includes office manager, finance officer, operations / communication officer and site manager. My father has done... everything - lecturer, social worker, program coordinator, truck driver (in his younger years).
I do want to emphasise that they would be happy to do anything that is not labour-intensive (both are in their 50s), and would certainly not consider any work "beneath them."
They are currently based near Ipswich but would not be averse to a long commute.
Thanks again!
choosing to watch other people playing computer games on YouTube rather than playing them myself because I get bored too easily
Could you please elaborate a little bit on this? I'm intrigued - I assumed that actively playing a game would be less boring than passively watching someone else play. I'm not a gamer though so I really have no idea.
