I'd like to see someone build a learn-to-code site around Yahoo Pipes; where you'd learn about each module by making something cool and useful. Later, once you have a basic understanding of what can be done, you'd work backwards to do the same by coding. The problem I've had with most of the online tutorials is that at the end of the day I don't have anything I can actually use.

Hoping Flattr catches on. It works flawlessly. It's how I want to support great content.

How awesome is their domain name? Could yours sound like the more authoritative player in the space, easier to remember, spell? Or will you come in with an afterthought domain that leads people to assume you're a knock-off?

I'd like to see a HN discussion of what people think Twitter should do about all the unused Twitter handles or those that were obviously abandoned after a few tweets back in 2009. -Should Twitter charge a nominal fee, say $1 a year for an account? -Should a domain name 'trump' an unused Twitter handle, ie. a way for domain owners to acquire unused Twitter handles?

The legality of 'sucks sites' is well established. Perhaps with a little help from HN, an SEO advantage could be gained that would bury whatever legit sites he's operating.

This has a little bit of the feel of those Craigslist AirBnB stories that came out about a month ago. Could they be farming HN now?

I use Google Reader and am very happy with it. Especially the ability to tag an item into an output feed. I love using the 'Note in Reader' bookmarklet to collect snippets into a tag (which can be output as RSS). Have a look at FeedAFever.com as well. If I could tag and share in Fever I'd probably be using that. Will you make your reader Open? If you want to brainstorm I've been thinking about this a lot. Feel free to email me.

I would also mention the Lynda.com videos. I'm running one of their Perl tutorials now working in Eclipse and finally seem to be getting somewhere. And I really wish someone would put together an intro to programming series using Yahoo Pipes as a platform.

One thing I think would help would be if Twitter would open up registrations to more than 15 letters.
