There is a software called Type Studio which have a free version and supports many different languages I guess.
Go once through the whole process and put everything on right and then serve EU customers as well.
Hopefully Figma won't go under the CC and then there won't be a free version anymore.
Yes, so far now issues.
For me helped connecting with other makers. My favourite communities are:
- Indie Hackers - Product Hunt - Indie Worldwide
That are great news! It's about time that YouTube focus more on learning content! I'm building a platform where people can connect who consume the same YT videos. I fell like the comment section is a horrible place for educational content. Would love to hear your thoughts on my project. It's https://www.baselog.co
Hi! Great product. Would love to know where the limitation in terms of frequency. How many can you send without being flagged as spam?
Appreciate it! Thanks.
No equity of our company but I will get some RSU's and since they are a public company they are limited how much they can hand out and the majority will be in cash and some of it combined with a earn-out.
True that
Some very good point! Thanks a lot. We already covered a lot of these points but some need to be addressed. I hope we will discuss the base salary with decision makers and not only HR who is not that much involved in the whole acquisition process.
Thanks for the advice! Very helpful. Do you have any general tips for negotiating a salary?
But leaving would mean that the entire deal would fall through, which is no longer an option.
It is indeed a big company. Definitely a good point, but they should have a little scope. I should start with the pay bands and find some good arguments why I want to move up in the payroll.
It's definitely acqui-hire, too. That makes sense! Thanks for the perspective. I'm just wondering what arguments to bring to these types of conversations.
So you would say to set an anchor as high as possible?
I don't want to be cheeky with them, but at the same time I expect something more than industry standard. The problem is that I have never worked as an employee before and salary negotiations are new territory for me.
I strongly believe that the next big thing is education! School and university systems are stuck. So I believe now is the time for the education industry to be disrupted. Elon Musk's Synthesis school is one example that is taking off rn. But topics like lifelong learning and education in work environment are equal interesting and have a huge potential.
We bootstrapped our company all the way even though we tried to raise VC money but failed. However if you keep grinding and can manage growth there is a clear path how you can become successful without external funding. We got acquired after 2.5 years without looking for an exit.
I'm working on a collaborative learning platform that let's you connect with people who consume the same content as you do. https://www.baselog.co
What are the biggest changes you want to do?
I would say as soon as possible! Even if your product is not ready yet or is just an idea. As long as you don't have a big investment for your product or service I would of course suggest to limit it to organic marketing.
Hell yeah! I couldn't imagine anything better than being an entrepreneur with all the ups and downs.
Definitiv not community building. All the groups I'm in are dead when it comes to interaction.
I still think the chance is very small if you apply as a solo founder. And I have never found a startup in throughout all batches that have a solo founder.
I'm curious are there any examples where solo founders were accepted by YC?
