When my apartment building is getting shelled to rubble, changing a few things in my constitution to make the shelling stop is 100% reasonable. I think many people eating up the media right now think resistance is great but they mostly think that because they’re thousands of miles away in their cozy condos ordering from uber eats.
Almost as hilarious as your support for the deaths of thousands. I’ve been anti-Russia from Day 1. But I’m going to continue to call out bullsht when I see it. Ukraine is fighting a war they can’t win. Not saying Russia is justified but I mean come on. If China rolls up onto US mainland with auto-aim drones, I’m hiding, and if surrendering is on the table then I’m definitely surrendering.
This use to be anti-science not long ago. Glad to see more people are realizing you don’t need medication for everything.
The elephant in the room. Hope to see more light brought to this topic. I believe Anti-US sentiment in China might be at an all-time high and it is only getting flamed by their government.
My contrarian view—the biggest winner of Russian sanctions won’t be Ukraine, it will be China. And perhaps that is why they are choosing to propagate pro-russia sentiment inland.
I have never seen pro-Ukraine posts until the past few days.
If you look at the past hour on Hacker News, there are mostly only new anti-Russia posts. The same is true across all media platforms. To me it looks like the Ukraine(and her allies) has intensified a censorship campaign against Russia. Which I guess isn’t terrible but lets call a spade a spade shall we?
”One in three Russians now believe the US may invade.”
That’s wild. But the more I think about it, the more plausible it is.
Probably about the same amount as Ukranian or Chinese state actors
And Chinese ones too. I think it’s fair to assume all sides have supporters. It seems odd to me that people would think there are not russian supporters here. We do not live in a totalitarian society where 100% of people are anti-Russia.
What is the current take on supporting Russia’s liberation of Ukraine? Not trolling just playing devil’s advocate. Are we ostracizing these people(Russian supporters)?
It seems insane because it is insane. Unfortunately, we already started down this path long ago and it will only get worse until catastrophe. I.e China takes over.
What doesn’t make sense is a resistance to Russia in Ukraine. Ukrainians supporting a hopeless defense against Russia absolutely will die for no reason but their own. They need to flee if Russia will not give them an option to surrender.
No that’s only for donations to people that want freedom, anti-liberation movements are fine to donate to.
The argument that you need “political experts” with decades of experience to navigate the “intricacies of politics” always cracked me up.
I don’t know how the US could possibly have more resources than China.
It looks more and more like this is propaganda from the US—Which is rather unfortunate for my oil holdings.
I wouldn’t say this alone indicates China is ahead. Chinese economic growth is truly the key here. Technological capabilities are trivial if you have dramatically more resources than your competitors.
I’m curious why no one is bringing attention to political affiliation. These atrocities in US history are generally all linked with one party. (Another atrocity being slavery)

It’s China, they don’t need one.
Wage growth would help. Unfortunately, society tends to focus on the minimum wage rather than value creation.
You can find a below sea-level hole inland then redirect the water to it.

Poor King Canute—still misunderstood.
1 btc is worth more than a car and people are still calling it a ponzi scheme. I find that very amusing for some reason.
Crypto suddenly making more sense
Yes, because rich people already know that getting rich is not about being rich.
I find it important because the impact is pretty obvious to me. Though if I was radically anti-capitalist I might agree with you. The optimal rate could be as low as 1% or as high as 99% for all we know. I’m inclined to believe it’s much lower though because of the incentive it would provide to entry level small business owners and entrepreneurs that are even marginally familiar with how accounting works.
There is nothing false about the laffer curve. What is contentious is what the optimal rate is. There is no evidence that I’m aware of that says the optimal is 1% or 99%.
that’s what we’re calling it these days anyways
