There's cope in the comments about possibility of some software adjacent jobs remaining, which is possible, but the idea of a large number of high paying software jobs remaining by 2030 is a fantasy. Time to learn to be a plumber.

Even if you don't think AI will replace the job of software developer completely, there's no way compensation is going to stay at the current level when anyone can ship code.

Yep, and there's an opt-in to disable sudo which prevents circumvention. However this can break some actions especially ones deployed as Docker images. It also doesn't work with macos.

It's not a matter of fantasizing about an idealized version of a dirty, hard blue collar job, but an honest assessment of something that will last longer than coding and will pay me money to feed myself.

Do these challenges apply to surgical robots? There's a lot of interest in essentially creating automated Davincis, for which there is a great deal of training data and for which the robots are prepositioned.

Maybe all this setup means that completing surgical tasks doesn't counter as dexterity.
