I'm a software engineer and application penetration tester. I like to read books in my free time.
Correlated, not caused.
The active dose to LD50 ratio for alcohol is somewhere about 1:13 depending on tolerance. For Magic Mushrooms or LSD, it is above 1:1000.
In other words, it is nearly impossible to accidentally kill yourself via overdose on psychedelics - but somewhat easy with alcohol.
If a NodeJS application accepts a value from the client application, but validates against an early call (e.g. min 25 mins from now) the Infinity value can bypass that validation.
Because it's a relatively unknown side effect, most validations probably wouldn't check for Infinity.
Plus although Infinity pops off the timer at 0 seconds, a validation based on millisecond math would fail because Infinity > 25 minutes in milliseconds.

https://anim8.io for animation fans
https://anim8.io for animators and animation fans - we are fully funded by fans and members vote on features and direction!
Mozilla seems to be really underperforming in upper management - all of these initiatives that have failed have resulted in engineering layoffs.
When will the business unit leaders responsible for repeated failure be let go and replaced?
Depends on the type of web app. https://anim8.io - a site for hobby animators could never run on a $10VPS.
The bandwidth usage is just way too high and video compression requires GPU compute.
Yep it did. That's why a lot of animators are moving to https://anim8.io
https://www.ecma-international.org/ecma-262/ is much more comprehensive, and sadly very few ever read it.
Lots of functionality in the spec that isn't even possible to find on MDN or W3 Schools.
Most of the publishing industry still uses .docx, some of the more advanced publishers have moved over to ASCIIDoc - personally I think Markdown is the easiest to use for a big project (having written and published a technical book prior).
Ruffle works great in modern browsers and is open source: https://github.com/ruffle-rs/ruffle
If you are interested in learning animation as a hobby, and would like a community to contribute to and learn from - consider joining Anim8 (https://anim8.io).
We are the largest group of hobby animators on the web, and host collaborations, competitions, etc. on an ongoing basis.
We use some of our funding to build free educational content as well which can be found at (https://blog.anim8.io).
We also have a great Discord full of beginner animators as well as pros
There is very little functionality JQuery offers that the modern browser DOM API doesn't provide with more robust performance.
DevFactor (https://youtube.com/devfactor) was shut down several years ago due to a similar issue with automated copyright trolling that took YouTube about 3 months to fix per time it happened.
I bought recently from a dealership that was going out of business right by an upscale university and negotiated about $3500 off of MSRP on a new car.
They told me they had to lay off around half their staff due to Covid.
The deals are out there you just have to look for them.
Lots of YouTube animators have been moonlightning on Anim8 (https://www.anim8.io) as of recently :)
If you are an animation fan you should give it a shot.
If you are interested in learning web app security but can't get into Stanford, consider reading this book: https://www.amazon.com/Web-Application-Security-Exploitation...
Covers just about everything a software engineer (or web developer) needs to learn in order to get into security.
If you are interested in learning web app security and can't get into Stanford, consider checking out this book: https://www.amazon.com/Web-Application-Security-Exploitation...
Covers basically everything a software engineer needs to move into security.
We actually see a similar pattern on https://www.anim8.io
A couple animators on our platform have extremely dedicated fans making up the majority of the donation revenue.
Supply chain is a definite concern with LSD, and other synthetic drugs. They are often incorrectly dosed and sometimes laced with other chemicals.
Naturally grown drugs like marijuana, mushrooms, even peyote and it's cousins are easy to identify, easy to dose safely and there is almost no risk of supply chain tampering.
These salaries are higher than I expected
Good. Corporations should be punished when corporate greed leads to negligence which leads to the loss of human life en masse in exchange for short term profit.
I don’t see how this is a bad thing for the market, if anything there will be more pressure to make safe aircraft.
Agreed. That's a ridiculous change.
A well defined function should have a single purpose, and a reliable and repeatable output.
Vue CLI + DIY
The CLI is actually pretty powerful and has some great configs out of the box that people think they need Nuxt for.
Would this have played out differently in a country known for its government-backed consumer protection laws, maybe Norway or Sweden?
In other words - is this an "American corporate greed" sort of tragedy, or is this standard result of such a lawsuit in all major countries?
By tragedy, I mean over 90% of the proceeds of the lawsuit going to lawyers rather than individuals affected in the data breach.
https://www.anim8.io might spark your imagination again.
Lots of animators are still making indy animation, it's just been drowned out on the major platforms due to how time consuming it is to create and it's basically not possible to monetize well outside of Anim8 now (YouTube algorithm favors frequent uploads and high video duration - not compatible with animation).
Current Vue does a great job of separating templates, script and styles in a way that gives it a beautiful developer interface.
This is in contrast to React which squishes the three into one monolithic class in it's .jsx (versus .vue's deeper seperation which leads to easier debugging).
Vue3 will release a monolithic syntax where you can combine script, styles and HTML all into a class - I don't think this is the correct direction for the framework to go.
Developer interface is just as important as internal functionality and performance. Let's not forget that.
Testosterone is generated a number of ways in the human body - but most of it comes from the testicles in men.
A smaller amount is from the pituitary in both men and women.
Depending on your weight there is an enzyme created in fat cells called aromatase which converts testosterone to estrogens which can have an impact on your overall hormonal picture.
Testosterone is derived in the body from cholesterol, which is way proper fat consumption is so important for a healthy endocrine system.
