Are we entirely discounting the free tier that's provided?

Reddit solved nothing. As far as I know there's little-to-no transparency in each subreddits moderation or content approval process. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it is a glaring issue with that platform.

They definitely would not delete any data. Just remove any display or access to it.

It'd be better if the OS wasn't garbage to be honest. Sierra and High Sierra, either through poor design or planned obsolescence has entirely soured my organization to the benefits of the MBP. Between that and the incessantly bad consumer garbage they push out with the OS, it's just not worth it.

If only a stable *nix desktop OS could run a webex meeting I'd switch my devs over. But noooo it's a 10 year old java applet.

It was fine for me. Same mbp retina 8gb system incrementally updated since 10.9.5. Took a while but munki installed the update without issue. If you have FV2 enabled it won't reboot automatically (ie. shutdown) despite munki 3's fdesetup authrestart ability? Unless I misread that update which is totally possible.

I called my reps last week, but it also might not be a bad idea to drop Rogers a line on twitter, explaining who and what you are, and telling him that you oppose the bill.

I found it quite cathartic.

Speaking as someone who's had his "tone" addressed in emails, and the survivor of many a blunt conversation with my boss, the best way to get a point across is to just state the facts. Don't be pompous, don't feign ignorance, or try to blame others, just spit it out, and have whatever you need to tell them written or typed out on a piece of paper. The last thing is to be respectful. Even if you don't respect them, they ARE in a position above you, and that DOES mean something, not only to them, but to others as well. Keep it civil, state the facts, and never apologize (unless you're the one who messed up. If that is the case, do so sincerely and politely).

I thought this was what they referred to as quantum tunneling. I'm probably wrong about that though...

I can see the first 50% of the reviews having a prodigious failure rate.

I totally agree. Not only is it specifically discussed that man has begun to evolve in a way that they can better themselves, through cooperation and self discovery, but it's also a mindset I see quite often. People who work tirelessly, and do incredible work, and then enjoy the small hobbies they have? Sounds like a lot of people I know, though not nearly in as large a quantity that one might find in a star trekesque future.

People WILL pay for convenience. It makes absolutely no sense for them to resist a move like this. Their misguided rationalizations are going to drag them down.

There needs to be a branch between the classic HID driven computing experience, and what is obviously an immersive, touch driven product. I feel like the Metro UI is what we'll be heading towards eventually, but I think some things just need to stay the same. A solid manipulative platform that is clean as it is elegant in its structure and its function is something I think a lot of us will need for the foreseeable future..

I've been in the same position for 6 years, so I know what it feels like to become complacent. I just thought it'd be obvious to anyone gearing up for a change. It's like checking the gas tank indicator in your car before making a trip, and making sure you packed clean skivvies.

So what it's saying is be knowledgeable about the job you're applying for, keep your skill set sharp, do what you love, and know what you want out of a prospective employer.

Good advice, albeit a bit obvious.

I was under the impression that the servers were located in Hong Kong. Over the past couple days, I haven't noticed anything about a seizure of the servers.

Edit: Wow I was wrong. Looks like they had a couple hundred in Virginia, and the Netherlands as well.

Doesn't work on FF 9.0.1 running on a windows box either.

75 for the first hour, 40 every hour after that.

That's just for general workstation & network support. Other 'projects' come with different pricing...

Piriform uses this to great effect. Not sure what they're taking in from their enterprise level offerings, but everyone and their brother uses their free products.

If they're only saving, say, online searches and the resulting ip address from each visit, that might be doable, and it seems like the best way to get info passively, and in small sizes.
