I have (the now older) XPS 13 with Ubuntu 18.04 and it's awesome. The infamous coil whines were a bit of a bummer but since upgrading (from 17.10) to 18.04, I haven't heard it again ...

I do plan to have some GPU support (probably by supporting existing ML framework) at some point (sooner if there's demand for it). I also like to explore logical inferences on GPU (but I haven't given it much thought yet).

hey (author here), so the code isn't available as I haven't decided to open source it or not yet. You are correct to point out that it's a LOT slower than more traditional Prolog due, in part, to a different architecture.

I'll think it depends on your end goal. Do you want to explore new network architectures and/or associated functions, or use (your own or public) data set to explore possible applications?

Logic programming is part of what people now call GOFAI (Good Old Fashion AI). I think it still has a place in building intelligent systems, but these days most people equate AI to Machine Learning, unfortunately ...

I got one a few weeks ago and it's great. I love the form factor and it packs some good punch and works great on Ubuntu (17.10). However, the infamous and almost constant "coil whine" is a bummer :-|
