Great project! I'd suggest adding a <meta charset="UTF-8"> to the Mostly Harmless website to fix some mojibake that I ran into.

Google Analytics has a "bot filtering" option that works pretty well (even though it's not perfect). Do the alternatives also have similar features? There is a lot of automated traffic on the internet.

Signing up to SideProjectors using Twitter requires permissions to follow, unfollow, tweet, update account info, read direct messages, etc. That's extremely scary.

Go has also an amazing static-analysis tool, vet, that is not mentioned in the article: https://golang.org/cmd/vet/

It can find printf-format errors, invalid shifts, unreachable code, etc.

Even though go vet is very helpful, it is sometimes scary that the compiler allows to build such incorrect code. For instance: https://play.golang.org/p/2AVHUt5Wcf

You test the URL with a HEAD method that often 404. You should try with GET instead.

Regarding the stack, it is made with Go and Postgres.

This is absolutely true, the standard library is very easy to read and this makes using Go very pleasant. When you compare this with C and the libc, the contrast is striking.
