I've been thinking about this as well. How can people "AI federate" their forks, without relying on a single maintainer.
Mostly because in the pi.dev ecosystem there are so many similar extensions and usually everyone wants their own little special something, but then everyone could benefit from maintenance updates/bug fixes.
This reads so intriguing, I read it like 3 times but I still don't get it :-) Probably the heat
I wonder if one clear sign is so much custom language that makes me wonder "is this lingo used in that field" but more often than not it's just the LLM trying to sound hyper-professional?
I couldn't let it rest, I was kind of sure that something so profound was thought and spoken before. So here is a finding that other might find equally interesting:
https://genius.com/Kurt-vonnegut-joe-heller-annotated
Kurt Vonnegut: True story, Word of Honor: Joseph Heller, an important and funny writer now dead, and I were at a party given by a billionaire on Shelter Island. I said, "Joe, how does it make you feel to know that our host only yesterday may have made more money than your novel 'Catch-22' has earned in its entire history?"
And Joe said, "I've got something he can never have."
And I said, "What on earth could that be, Joe?"
And Joe said, "The knowledge that I've got enough."
Not bad! Rest in peace!
Super cool, I'm always interested in super high speed + quality. So I picked 50-50.
I'm trying cursor/composer mostly because it seems way faster than azure/aws/gcp
Anyways I'm probably doing, because most peers tell me the pick for intelligence and then let it run unattended "for ever" so ...
Cool to see that you did transcription AND LLM for the diagram with "in-browser" / local.
Tangent: But I'm wondering whether there would be something from the browser side to enforce this?
Like a sandbox so that my browser allows me to launch this via "download" only so that after I download everything there is no way for the website to get any of my data.
As a (non-technical) user what kind of guarantee do I have that the prompts, transcript etc. are treated only local?
Beautifully said about having enough. Thank you
Best release notes I have seen in a while. I don't even work with movies/pics, but this was so easy to understand. Well done
+1 for 1) I started to notice this problem when going from harness to harness (pi.dev/omp/dirac) I'd be eager to try out others, but I can't leave all my plugins behind!
What's the url?
Super cool, I'm not on mac so I can't try. But I work on something similar for niri on linux. Trying to keep my projects separate.
One additional level I see appearing are the worktress when having multiple AI agents run in paralell. So while they belong to the same project, each worktree has theire own ide + browser etc.
quite interested in this but I'm working pi/omp only at the moment.
Inspired by entire.io I've vibed a super small extension that seems similar to this: https://github.com/janmechtel/pintire
I expect this feature to eventually end up in the harness
I assume that this benchmarks where done without any modifications to the default open-sourced harness. treesitter CLI would be an extra plugin for pi-mono, put I'd be equally curious about whether it would accomplish the task.
I'm looking for something like this to use per project for pi.dev or oh-my-pi
edit: oh-my-pi has https://github.com/can1357/oh-my-pi/blob/main/docs/memory.md which seems pretty close maybe i should try to use that more
I can relate to this, in the past I felt like I could write down pages of projects to try if only I had time. Now my mind immediately goes towards "do I want to manage this long term after the initial spark".
I'm working on https://kontext21.com/x21 also Claude has their own add-in + shortcut ai + endex ...
Reads similar to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laplace%27s_demon
I was really intrigued by the title but "without installing anything" means "installing an extension" or not?
I'm waiting for this! But I'm to consumer / usage is rare for me to build from repo
how often did I pickup my phone and just want to say "Hey my parents are over for my 5yo's birthday can we have something upbeat while we eat cake" and then be able to follow up "less vocals and a bit slower" to adjust the mood.
So could SaaS LLM or cloud/api LLMs not offer this as an option? A guarantee that the "same prompt" will always produce the same result.
Also the way I usually interpret this "non-deterministic" a bit "broader".
Say i have have slightly different prompts "what's 2+2?" vs. "can you please tell me what's 2 plus 2" or even "2+2=?" or "2+2" for most applications it would be useful if they all produce the same result
- write formulas for me (single cell but let me say in english what I want then give me the formula) - do more complex things like "add another week" (1) insert new column (2) copy all formulas (3) adjust the fixed date - Explain a sheet / formula / section - Help me understand where this value comes from - do large scale formatting adjustments/alignments - find discrepancies / inconsistencies
@OP super inspiring. I'm working on a universal capture SDK, a bit like rewind.ai that would make it easy to grab information from screen and then store as Markdown etc. Have you ever wished for something like that?
Super cool to see this just now. We are building in the space of computer screen analysis and started to experience something similar, hence want to build something similar for Pixels instead of voice.
Would love to chat to you, jan@kontext21.com
which model do you use locally?
Cool idea. How does it work. Do you expect me to run it on "unorganized" folder and afterwards it's better organized?
Just today I was wondering when I can just "ask for the file" and get it faster than navigating folders.
I'm wondering what you think are the advantages of putting them in folders?
For me it's a bit like typo in phishing/scam emails. If you think "oh my god this scam is so bad how can anyone fall for it" then you are probably not the target group.
Super cool music. Great vibes.
on Firefox with ublock origin the playbutton wasn't visible so I made an account first. Pretty slow fps not sure why + hard to figure out where to go.
The article was insightful what cursor can do specifically (as someone who heard quite a bit of unspecifc cursor praise + tried it myself recently vs. vs code + aider)
You submitted the same thing 4 times in 4 days?
The topic investors/founders might be find interest here, but we probably want some more content /discussion worthy stuff.
