You know why this is BS, cause you can easily train people to properly use a mask. And maybe if the government would have trained people through PSA early on, on how to properly use a mask, change gloves, etc. this pandemic wouldn't be nearly as bad as it is. Instead they told everyone, hey everything is fine, just wash your hands and don't touch your face.

Require registration. Block VPNs (as the people doing it are more likely trying to hide their true IP). If someone wants to use a VPN, require documenation. Be open about your limits.

But to be honest, the people that are abusing your system, more then likely they are doing it for financial gain, so it's likely their full time job, and they won't stop.

I don't think remote work is a perk, but I do find some employers either think or feel that they can pay employees less just because they are remote. I would never work at a place like that.

I feel the same about my 15 inch 2016 MBP. I also had the same issue with the Touch bar. I've since removed it, and changed it to the mute button, and haven't had any issue.

When I first purchased it, (when it was released in store), I had problems with graphical artifacts, but than a new update was released for MacOSX and it's been fine since.

I purchase one (MBP 15). I did have some issues when using a external video card adapter (using DisplayLink drivers) that was then plugged into a USB2 hub that was then plugged into a USB-C to USB adapter. But since removing the driver (and the video card adapter), I haven't had any issues.

Interesting response when you state that you may give Linux a try given Apple's direction and then you list what you like about Apple's laptop. I wonder why you're thinking that other then the recent 'post' by some complaining about the new Notebooks. I recently purchased a new MBP 15 (up from a 2011 MBP 13) and the build quality is still there, the design of the new laptop is really nice and the screen quality is excellent.

To top it off the new MBP have a awesome trackpad and are very quiet (least mine is I have the 2.6GHZ 16GB 256GB SSD model) and even while playing videos on Google Chrome (which use to really heat up my 13 inch) my 15 inch is quiet and cool.

It's actually a nice to have feature, but at least not yet, not a must have. Just having Touch ID makes it worth it to me.

The escape key is still there, it's on the Touch Bar, I have no issues with using it, and I haven't had to re-map it. Also you can hit the 'fn' key and the 'Function' bar and escape key will appear while using any other 'app' that changes the Touch Bar.

I like it, although I don't use it a lot. It's a nice to have more then a must have. But it works so far flawlessly. I do like having Touch ID.

Probably be more useful once more apps take advantage of it. So far only a few non-Apple apps I use take advantage of it. I do hope Slack takes advantage soon.

I'm using Treehouse currently to learn how to make apps for Android and it's coming a long great. I work full time (not a coder), married with a kid on the way, so I don't get the chance to work on it as much as I like. For me I feel it works as I can see the instructor code an example on the video, and many things he repeats throughout the video. They also link notes into their lessons and links to other sites, have blog entries about Android and they have a forum for asking questions, that they respond to.

My only previous experience is HTML5/CSS.

I've tried Codeacademy when it first came out, but found it dull. Maybe cause it's about Javascript and not what I wanted to learn exactly (Android development).

I get great battery life with my iPhone 4S and Galaxy Nexus when I don't use them for 3 or 4 days...

Unfortunately, the school get their money based on how many kids go to their school. They have to keep track, if they don't or if students aren't showing regularly, they lose funding.

I'm sure that's what they are doing now. However it takes time to setup new servers as well as writing code (that's been throughly audited) to help protect their existing and future servers.

Banks were being hit the first week of October, then I know some VoIP servers were being hit such as Callcentric by DDoS. I can see why the banks were hit, but not why so many much smaller businesses are being attacked.

yes, it was a press button wait a minute, when the OTA update was finally released to you. I waited 4 days to get the OTA on my Galaxy Nexus. My iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS all were able to update when the new iOS was released, that day. No waiting.

Ugh I feel the same, it's hard to do without the Phones Volume being displayed on the phone. Then you get a screenshot of what you want and the Phone's Volume level being displayed.

I have this same issue. I find copy/paste on iOS to be simple and copy/paste on my Nexus to be a pita as I have to remember what all of the icons represent.

Most of them look like their iOS counterparts. For example Catch Note's 'home' screen looks the same on Android as it does on iOS. Same with Flight Track Free and Feedly. Pintrest is more or less the same, with a slightly adjusted menu.

2 years? I purchased the first MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt when it was first released just last year. It's just over a year old.

I just watched the new Apple ads and think they are fun. I don't feel they were directed at me. But I do feel for non-Apple and non-tech people they could raise the question, who are these Geniuses and perhaps they'll look deeper into it and visit a Apple Store.

I don't know if it's been said or discussed before, but why don't Developers just make yearly revisions to sell on the Mac App Store, or even the iPhone iOS app store. You could have a Genericproductname'2012 or '12, and next year release a 2013 ('13) that has the new features, then remove the prior versions.

Yeah, I started playing about 2 weeks ago.. played every class to 20, but played my Monk to 32 and finished 'Normal' mode. Was disappointed that the road to 60 is paved by going through the same content again, just a little bit harder. You would think after 11 years they would have been able to release a complete game.

Highly doubtful. My wife who is a NYC teacher comes up with her lessons plans on her own time. There's not enough time in the normal work day to come up with lesson plans so she's usually doing them at night. Teachers do a lot of work outside of 'office hours' to prepare for the next class.
