I think your definition of Integer programming is not correct. Integer programming or Mixed Integer Programming assumes that the solution has the all or some variables, integers. Most of the Integer programming models are usually using binary variable to indicate decisions.

Further, I think you tried to describe Linear programming in the beginning of your post. But Linear programming searches the vertices of the polytope and not the edges.

The biggest issue with Integer programming is the lack of convexity of the solution space when compared to Linear programming. So the approach for solving them is very different compared to Linear programming. If I made any mistakes in my post, I welcome to be corrected.

I think a web based killer is very far away in the time line. I recently was trying to make a huge gird in Photoshop and my i7+10gbRAM computer was unable to handle it. I think very simple stuff like annotating and cropping/red-eye fix can be done but I think a web based photo editor will fail when huge performance is required.

Completely unrelated and Sorry for derailing but isn't it cart before the horse? I mean the horse is always in front of the cart. I am not a native English speaker. Am i missing anything?

Calling Stallman a jerk is definitely uncalled for. I personally think he is the epitome of everything that is right with the Computer Science. It is your prerogative to distribute the software however you like. Remember that Stallman created something which most of us can only sapire about.

India. No offense taken. FWIW, I can afford toilet paper. I just don't use it as I am habituated to using my hand. In case you are wondering, I can guarantee that the number of people who use their hand to clean their bottoms is much more than the combined population of USA.

I still don't use toilet paper. I used one when I had access to it(in a hotel). I knew toilet paper existed as once when I saw it in movies or read about it.

You will probably hate me for giving some graphic details but I had never used Toilet paper for the first 21 years of my life.(I am 22 BTW). I didn't even use a bidet. Just my left hand and water. I know this might be considered very disgusting but it is very common from where I am.

Come on. It's not that bad. I know design is a subjective thing, but calling it a disaster is a bit too much, IMO.

Not to be that guy but regardless is the correct form. Irregardless is considered as non-standard or incorrect. But if you do know this, please don't mind this nitpick.

I was a typesetter for sometime(never released a typeface officially) and during another recent discussion on typefaces, I heard about source code pro. I swear I told many people that consolas is the best mono-space font. But source-code pro changed it. It became my main coding font now and it is simply amazing.

I request everyone to try it.

Most important thing that comes to my mind is space. I have no idea about the size occupied by a single "batch" but I can say that two small ones require more space. One more thing is, maintaining one large "reactor" is easy when compared to 10 small ones.

I used to design typefaces as a hobby. It is not so easy. You might think that your typeface looks fine but some experienced typeface designer will rip your design to pieces saying the bowls are not smooth, the stems are not having consistent thickness etc(he is not wrong. I just didn't have the "eye" for spotting such things).

But as they say, practice makes man perfect. Good Luck.

It takes around 6-7 months to design just a "regular" typeface. Be patient if you ever take this up.

I can only comment about MS office as I use it everyday at my office.

I can not think how Google's spreadsheet can replace Excel.

I have some thousands of rows on a single sheet and a spotty internet connection. If Google introduces a native, offline app, then i might switch.

I Do Not encrypt any files. I have a desktop at my home and i never saw need to. Although I don't live in a first world country. So no first world problems.

Just to give a idea of how the salary structure works here. Suppose you are earning 50,000 per month, only 11,000 will be your basic, some 5000 will be your house rent. and another 5000 for some expenses and additional perks can be up to some 30000. So, they will earn only 11,000 pm instead of the 50,000. which won't even be sufficient to pay rent.

I am not asking all the names but who are those people behind the various macs?

Is this true? I am from India and want to do a PhD in US. I thought the work opportunities of PhD gards is good.

I am also in India and I have to say that while Lumias are not everywhere, they definitely have a decent market share. and iPhone country? I don't think so.

In his autobiography, Stephen Fry mentions about Douglas Adams in a chapter. He mentions how they stayed close to each other and whenever he was free, he used to go to Adams house and "play"(in his own words) with Adams' mac. He wrote that they were the only two people who he knew had macs. He also mentioned that unlike regular users, they hacked away at their macs. They used download some small programs and tried running them till their computers crashed. He also writes about his disdain towards the ibm machines of that time. His autoBio is a wonderful read and he talks about his love for tech a lot.

Coconut oil is definitely bad for you[1]. You are better of consuming other oils like Olive, sunflower and even ground nut.
