How an hour a day can help

C1D
1pts0

This reminds me of what happened to my self last year. I had a YouTube channel with Gaming Videos, they went to my channel created a fake Google+ account using my name and started posting offensive content on it.

They then went to videos with homosexual acts and posted comments with my name saying things like "I endorse this", etc..

On the Google+ page they posted Male Pornography all under my name.

I went to the Police here in Dubai and after a few weeks of no response I found out that they lost my file and that I would have to do another report to get anything done about it.

I eventually took it into my own hands, contacted Google+ send pictures of my passport and they shutdown the account and removed all Google query's of the page.

This seems more like a myth to me. I have friend that I have known since we were toddlers. Even though me and him are in different countries we Skype daily! I will be visiting him in August and he's going to visit me in December.

It's probably using a form tag in the html. The data entered would be sent as a POST request to the external site.

Or it could be trough JavaScript which would Ajax the data to the external site.

I'm also Muslim so I guess I can answer this. We usually pay it to charities, in the old days Muslims would go around looking for people who needed the money and directly pay it to them but now we send it off to foundations though we can still pay it directly if we would like.

Most Muslims also sponsor Orphans. I am actually sponsoring two orphans.

Opps, by that I mean't a website done in PHP and the WS server was in node.

Also @krrishd, are you still working on your suicide-prevention app, I emailed you about it a few weeks ago and didn't get a response.

Yes I realised that and it is hard to just trust someone based on my own opinion that's why -hopefully- I will soon be releasing some software I've been working on for a long time (A node.js blogging engine).

I guess you are right, most 15 year olds at my school couldn't tell me how a bold tag looks like if their life depended on it! I didn't develop my skills over a fortnight. I have been programming since I was eight (I come from a family of engineers).

I still remember building my first VB Application (A browser), the moving on to HTML, PHP, then teaching a Python Class at my old school and now I'm proficient in Node.JS and know how to use most of the HTML5 API, so I guess it does take time to evolve your skills.

Okay that was over descriptive. I basically created a chatting platform that used Websockets (so it worked on the web instead of application only) and would send data from a PHP frontend to a node.JS backend (hosted in AWS) via SSL and RSA encryption (I used cryptico.JS to encrypt and decrypt). The node.JS server was running engine.io (base for socket.io).

Also i'm sorry if it came off like I have a big ego!

I'm definitely glad to see another 15 year old taking a interest in computing but I guess the reason i'm not overly impressed is that for me- and I don't mean to sound arrogant,- this would be an extremely easy task and the reason I'm not doing something like is because I prefer Software Programming more than Gaming and I hate Windows (I'm on Ubuntu).

I don't want to sound like a nutcase conspiracy theorist but to be quite honestly if the government had always wanted an excuse to violate basic human rights, 9/11 was probably the best thing that happened for them.

After 9/11, they were able to convince us that we NEED to be felt up by strangers at the airport and that we NEED to invade a country and that ITS OKAY to just kill thousands and thousands of civilians "by accident" all in the name of National Security and when some civilians try and kick out these strangers that invaded their country and killed their family, they're the nut jobs, they're the bad people, they're the real terrorists.

I honestly think the US is a bigger terrorist that Osama ever was. Now, after 9/11 people we're living our normal lives normally; while in Afganistan, families everyday are terrorized, scared, afraid that this might be their last day. Today might be the day their father doesn't come back. Today might be the last day they see each other.

EDIT: I apologize for coming off as arrogant. Criticism isn't really doing any good and I regret that post. To the creator, I'm glad to see a 15 year actually doing something in computing.

I understand that this was a good experience for you and hopefully has further developed you skills. Sorry for the unnecessary criticism and blatant self promotion. My post was pointless, possibly narcissistic and I was doing what I hate people doing to me. Please keep it up and I hope you get even better; Also a little tip, check out Unity3D, it is costly but if you're into game deving it will let you develop games in 3D easily (though you're going to need to know basic Javascript or C) and it is multi-platform so it can publish to mobile.

OLD POST: Quality not quantity. While it is impressive to see another 15 year old programmer (I've never met one in real life even though I've been to three schools in two different countries (I'm a expat kid) ), the actual programming skill required to make games like these are little to none and truthfully i'm not overly impressed.

I too am 15 mind you and although I haven't developed any games I have created a RSA secure chatting social network website and app for it too which could communicate between each other using websockets and a node.JS server (this hasn't been published, while making it my partner quit :(, and I eventually lost hope that it would even be used since I was only 15).

I hope this doesn't come off as criticism. Its actually great to see another young programmer such as my self but all I am trying to say is that this is not overly impressing.

I would trust this post if you could at the very least provide some evidence that he did contact you and that you are leaving because to me, it seems like you're just a employee trying to pin the blame on him and do a little damage control.

The fact that you're the Marketing Director at Expedia makes it even worse (if you are lying).

EDIT: Okay, I just did some research and this person's company is extremely fishy but I would still like to see some evidence.

This is overrated, many companies register many trademarks and end up never using them.

I remember reading in 2009 that Nintendo had registered the trademarks for Pokémon Black, Pokémon Brown, Pokémon White, Pokémon Gray, Pokémon Purple, Pokémon Crimson and Sacrlet (and while black and white were used the others were not).

I was expecting some new type of physical server powered by Thorium :(.

ReactOS is still in alpha stages and I can't see a difference between the ReactOS I first saw in 2006 and the current one, it still is extremely limited when it comes to running advanced windows applications.

Also Windows cloud computers aren't that expensive, a Windows cloud on EC2 costs only a few cents more than a Linux one plus you can also use Azure.

It seems pointless to me.

Bing is blank? 13 years ago

I really like the new design, very good example of the new minimalist trend and "flat" look. It is really able to convey all the value I see in Bing in such a simple and minimalistic design.

Best move Microsoft has made since Windows XP.

I get you're angry about the bad customer service but dude, you need to get off your high horse and realise you're not that special. I don't know who you are and don't care and googling you name doesn't come up with anything special. Get over your self, unless you're a real celebrity no one will care, even if your story made it on to tv (which I highly doubt).

Is this honestly a joke. How on earth could you expect a student to come up with an answer to a question with no information even slightly relevant to the answer; that is not a basis to judge math skills.

Also your above calculation is no better than the ones the grade eights had made. If you had any knowledge of farms you would know that the Shepard probably bought a lot of sheep too and maybe some of them belonged to his father. How can you assume that he started at 18. In Arabia some kids become Shepards at the age of 13.

Your example was just plain stupid and so is your assumption that they have bad math skills.

I don't honestly think that the students are "dumb", I think they tried to work out the answer so they wouldn't fail the test with out trying. That's usually my method, if I don't know how to work out the answer I'll guess or try a logical method so that I might have a chance.

I also think that because they don't expect a teacher to lie they tell themselves there has to be a answer.

Let's all agree that had Shubham not posted what had happened prezi wouldn't have done anything. This is just a PR stunt to save face.
