And old pianos are being given away for free on craigslist every day. Even recently restored and tuned vintage baby grands that cost 10s of thousands.

Non-lawyer here: one reason corporations won't give you info about exactly what they think you did wrong is it gives you no grounds to sue them for slander.
Similarly, no HR department will inform another HR department if you were fired or why, they'll only confirm dates of employment.
Mattel has a trademark on "Barbie Pink".
You can paint your dream house that color, but you can't sell a dollhouse that color.
They should also figure out how to stop channel hijacking and the shillers playing that Elon Musk crypto interview which keeps showing up in my recommendations...
I think I'm shadowbanned here, so I don't really have much to say.
I do bespoke personal support. I always solve their oddest problems. There's always a way, somehow. I'm available 24/7, for those 4am calls from Singapore. In return, they are very loyal.
Sounds like I'm bragging - maybe I am.
such as the world being flat.
This doesn't harm anyone. People follow and believe in all kinds of unreal things - The Pope tweets, Dalai Lama has a website... at least there's not going to be Flat Earth terrorism.
Spoiler: They're talking about the first page of The Little Prince.
Can anyone explain what competitive advantage vendors gain/maintain by not publishing datasheets and programming information?
And to think we used to have books full of these secret numbers...
Plastic grocery bags are now made to photodegrade. I guess this is not well known.
For some counter arguments see:
Personal experience - every single bag I get from the grocery store is used again to dispose of garbage. Doesn't everyone do that?
Making me buy garbage bags is much more wasteful.
The national legalization of gay marriage happened via the Supreme Court just last year. There is no reason at all it could not be reversed under a new court.
Yes, there is; it's "stare decisis". Even Dred Scott has not been reversed because of it.
By selling it for $10, of course.
No babies, just HIV and herpes. Sounds like a deal.
So you went to kah lej ee?
Maybe they should try calling the admin contact? His firm's phone number is easily findable. Interestingly, his website is unresolvable, possibly due to some hero trying to snipe his email?
I will not read this - but here is what I do:
Figure out the lowest price they can sell at, add $100 to that, walk out if they say no.
If you really want the car, add another $100. Still no, stand up and walk out. Really, you can live without the SUV.
Tell them you will discuss financing LATER. You have the total amount in cash [right?] so you can decide whether the financing deal they offer is better than a CD or T-bills.
If you don't have cash [stupid] get financing BEFORE you negotiate - talk to your credit union or LOCAL bank first.
How many times does this simple info have to be shared?
Oh, new Internet twist: do it all online.
Do not buy the floor mats and rustproofing.
Let me assume you are said developer:
"Is is fair to judge a developer's performance based on the number of bugs filed against his name?"
Is it fair to judge your performance by how many bugs you submitted?
The only answer is yes.
The time you waste instructing the 3d printer to recreate your broken widget is better spent carving it out with the methods at hand.
That little steel thingy that wore out I can drill, file and bend by hand faster than you can CAD/CAM it up. You'll beat me if you're making many of something. But your home shop 3d printer still won't print steel.
We could have guessed that.
Paul Graham ith tho thmart, he hath hith own dialect
Paul Graham can give three young men only $6000 for a whole summer of 'work'.
Josh Harris, was it you that downvoted me?
I guess the NYTimes could find nothing else to report on. I'd rather read about a puppy being rescued from a pipe. Hell, I'd rather watch that happen than watch another "Startup Dot Com" crashing live before my eyes.
I hope this ends up as badly as weliveinpublic did.
