Slightly offtopic but I find Apple maps to be way better than Google maps. Their lane by lane directions are amazing. Most of the time you don’t even have to look at the phone. Whereas google has their weird way of zooming in and out and often a bit late. My success rate of not missing a turn is way higher on Apple maps and than on Google maps.

Because India has ridiculous history of making up charges against people whom they don’t like politically. Search “Umar Khalid”.
From what I have heard is that it’s laggy and visibility is not good either. But never tried it myself.
Sounds like schadenfreude.
As if the engineers were causing income inequality.
I can see that heat would be a problem. But I don’t live in a very hot area. But I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for pointing it out.
Yup. The best bet is the handlebar bag with clear pouch and a cheap $100 android phone with offline google maps. I am personally using a Samsung Galaxy which I bought it from fb marketplace.

Thus my comment. Let’s cut these “bullshit” jobs and have another French Revolution already.
Let’s cut those “bullshit” jobs and see what happens to these people’s investments.
There are more like that.
How is this conspiracy, I am curious. I can literally see it happening.
Chatgpt is fastfood of programming. We all know how healthy that is
For me, they are more miss than hit. I was amazed in the initial days but I have bounced back to searching from google and reading stackoverflow. It’s not just about finding solution for your problem, it’s also looking at what other options are there and comparing them mentally is a really good exercise. You learn a lot by that way. The comments and not accepted solution are also invaluable.
Yup. I personally have to spend a lot of energy to concentrate in team meetings because my brain keep telling me that I can ignore some information here and there and get back to it whenever I need it using the replay and rewind. Most of the meetings are not recorded. I actively have to keep check on this reflex of my brain learned from Youtube and Netflix.
This. Wondering how easily people make things so simplistic (as the other commenters are doing).
It’s not about poor or rich engineers, it’s about fairness. When people at the top do that, people at other organisations take a page out of their book at rinse and repeat. It’s corporate version of monkey see monkey do. And the worst affected will be on the lower side of salary scales.
I wish there was a political party who had guts to take on these kind of people. I wish!
He doesn’t want to read. It’s always hit and run with the fanboys of these authoritarian regimes.
Please do something new than the other authoritarian shills. It’s the same playbook.
Why do you assume that everyone outside of India is incapable of understanding things on their own and need help from Indian friend? Why do you patronise? Isn’t that racist? Isn’t the that some kind of twisted supremest thinking?
I can read the stats and make up my mind on my own.
It’s the usual protocol of astroturfing. Accuse the whistleblower of something vague and discard them with name calling. Straight out of playbook of authoritarian governments. Nothing new.
I searched the name Nupur Sharma and it gave me this article which explains everything.

It says that the fact checker shared a video of what she said.
Treat them as spy. What are sedition laws are for?
Could be. But my point is, whatever it is, we need to address it. Living good and safe shouldn’t be a luxury.
Agree. I should have been more clear. Independent review boards.
That goes without saying that nothing is perfect. Even Toyota cars breakdown too (see turbo issue in Land Cruisers) but the fact is that they breakdown less than the other brands. Life is imperfect. We have to pick the least imperfect system.
The problem that US faces has been solved by other western countries. Australia has way more safer cities than USA. But the key is to not to politicise everything under the sun. Let the police do their job and whenever there is a misconduct it will be handled by the review board.
All I want is a candidate to run the platform of simply enforcing the law—it's baffling to me how controversial that is. Perhaps we'll get the right catalyst for that to happen someday.
And this is what gives a chance for extremist to flourish. For some reasons, US politics has no centre, it’s always far away from the axis. I think it’s time to have a “Balance Party” in the US :)
They applied that in my suburb and media kept comparing it with racism. They stopped doing that from last year and car jacking and other violent crime is on the rise again. I could never understand how “Broken Window” is racist? And I am a minority.
Whatever the fix for institutional racism is need not be contradictory to Broken Window. They can work together.
That sums up so well. Saving this.
Or maybe they will just push for robots.
