Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems.
The same happened to me a few years ago with educative. Scumbag company.
I'm still using a T480, keeping my eye out for the T14 G5.
I'm good for about 3-4 hours of focused knowledge work a day before I need a break or change in context. In the evenings when things are much quieter in my environment, I can squeeze in another 1-2 hours if its necessary.
I do agree with the "go to the gym" part of his spiel.

Agreed, when I was at SAP a in the late 2000's we were all developers (SD1), no senior or juniors too.

There is plenty of great tech today. You're either not working on it or not aware of it.
I'm also in LT, you can get the vaccine and passport; even if you think its unsafe for wife to get it.

Software Engineer, 8 years exp. looking to transition to techical product management.Agreed, this is my experience as well. Like most things, find 1 that you like and use it for a long time. For me it happened to be the HHKB Pro 2.
Was it ever after bootstrap released? Most frontend work can easily be done offshore for half of what you pay a 'frontend developer' in the West.
No.
This the template for a clickbait headline on HN.
I like computers, sweatpants and the pay is nice.
This but thinkpad keyboard.
You get to see what the average developer thinks.
This is a rehashed generalization of degree vs non-degree engineers. If you write code long enough you'll work with both brilliant people who take pride in doing the uninteresting work and idiots who talked their way into big projects.
I have bills to pay and dependents to feed.
Hiring is broken bro.
I highly agree with this. When I was in position where I had to interview candidates this is was the 2nd half of my technical interview. Read a piece of code and going through it with me like you're pairing with Jr. Dev. I still think algorithm problems serve the purpose of filtering out the bottom of the barrel.
We should give him the death penalty or life with no parole. We can't rehabilitate these types of monsters.

I agree, the overlapping difference in quality software production is diligent security and testing.
After not reading for a few years I felt both within and without.
