Before 2020 elections John Bolton said that Trump doesn't see the point for NATO and will consider withdrawing if he wins in 2020. Because of that a NATO Support at was passed in Congress to block the president from single handly withdraw the US from NATO. That was over 4 years ago, hopefully he changed his mind.
I think that's it. What could happen overnight already happened.
For me the biggest problem is Ukraine, the country I live next to. Trump is more than happy to pull out of NATO
I'm seriously worried about the Ukraine since I live in a country next in line for invasion if Ukraine will get defeated.
Maybe that would bump the people willing to go to the office by another 5-10% but every once in a while we have days when multiple teams happen to be in the office on the same day, and at least half of the desks are occupied. Despite having half of the office dedicated as "the focus zone", most people don't really work or like to work on those days. There are much more meetings, and casual chit-chat but an actual output of "work products" is close to none.
That's irrelevant. If you want, you will steal without leaving any trace. If Snowden could sneak out loads of documents from the CIA, no company would be able to keep their IP airtight. NDAs and good old trust are the only way.
I work for a big, old-timey, international company. The current policy is WFH or from the office, whatever you like. Some managers have rules that their team members have to show up at the office 1-4 times a month. Our office can hold about 400 employees and this is about the number of employees that could technically commute every day. To my knowledge, there are about 20 people who commute to work daily. No one else is going there unless they have to. It's a very nice, freshly renovated office, with a lot of green plants inside, free coffee, height adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs, relaxation zones, lockers (so you don't have to take your stuff to work every day), etc. located in the city center that is well connected via buses. trams and subway. You can even drive a car to work if you want. And still given that option only about 5% of employees decided to work there daily. People like you exist and their needs have to be filled however most people, if given a chance they'll prefer WFH.
Some piece of core infrastructure went down because everyone got spike at the same time. Surprisingly DoorDash and Steam was up
I dropped Sublime after they pushed upgrade to 4 without asking and without (at least initially) allowing for cheap upgrade. So suddenly from having paid version I became user of trial without easy way of going back to 3. The fun part is that I would probably move to 4 at some point in time but I was forced and I didn't liked it.
The thing is it's not the culture or tradition of the US. It's just a brilliant ad campaign that lasted way longer than it should.
HB is the middle of the scale. From there it's going both ways. Hs are harder and Bs are softer. There's also an F thrown into that scale for extra confusion.
I would say even less because you have to take into account all the costs of hosting, dev machines, laptops, testing, travel etc. $1 million for such huge project is peanuts this days.
Because it's not original license owner. They would have to provide licenses for everything used plus Apple may reject it just based on "not matching app guidelines". Apple banned even console emulators even tho technically there's nothing legally wrong with emulator on it's own, same for torrent downloaders, Kodi etc. If Apple have any doubts about legality of app they'll just ban it
I don't think this is a bug, I think it's a feature consciously deployed by FB.
I never investigated this deeper but I have similar issue on my Nook Glowlight. Despite it supporting ePUB files some of them just throw an error on the devices. Converting them ePUB to ePUB solves the problem.
When US representative fly to Taiwan secretly it's disabled but whole world was talking about Pelosi going there and China's treats to shoot her down for day or two. Putting that flight for whole world to see is actually more secure than trying to keep it secret.

Different addresses for different repos are pretty straightforward. Can someone tell me please how to use multiple SSH keys. I have constant problem with Bitbucket because they require SSH key to be unique across whole platform. I work on many projects. Some companies require me to use Bitbucket account created by them with their email address. I can't add my SSH key to such account because it's already assigned to my private account. My workaround is to use GitKraken which allows assigning SSH keys per repo but I would really like to have this option in command line and don't need full GitKraken license just for pushing changes

It helped a lot with how to/tutorial videos. When looking for a solution I could see at first glance if I'm watching correct video. If there was more dislikes than likes I could tell straight away to not follow this suggestions.

I personally broke many CDs, it's kinda hard to do but when they snap small bits from broken edges fly off everywhere. I even saw CD that broke inside of drive. Granted it was put in with a crack in the middle but still it broke. Maybe it's just my feeling but I think that CDs back in the days was made out of a bit less flexible, ticker and more brittle plastic. Those produced today I can bend in half and they don't snap as easily as 20 years ago
I quite enjoy the new UI. I'm using it since the beginning and now I'm put off when someone posts a link to old UI version.
It's also good idea to split requirements into must haves and nice to haves. For example when I'm buying laptop must have is under 14" screen and min 32GB RAM and nice to have is USB-C charging and 4k display.
No but I don't want to fiddle with this software. My phone have to work and I don't want troubleshoot it when I'm in the middle of nowhere when it dies. Some of bank apps also don't want to work on non official or rooted systems.
Motorola G52. It's my second Moto after One Action (I would buy it again with G52 CPU and RAM instantly) since I moved away from iPhones. I consider Moto the next best thing in terms of security and bang for a buck. iPhones got ridiculously expensive and I genuinely get more useful for me features from Motorola. As for security I don't trust anything that comes from China so I avoid Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, Oppo, realme etc. I also avoid Samsung but that's my personal, subjective decision because of my personal bad track record with Samsung devices. I also avoid Google branded phones because of many reports that their software get significantly slower over time.
Why Motorola?
- pretty clean version of Android
- fairly fast updates (at least that how it was in Android One program)
- gestures
- good price to value ratio
I agree with you however truly innovative things that are not making anyone poorer are way rarer than author of this post suggests. Even Steve jobs devices, given here as an example, was taking part of the cake from someone else. First thing that came to my mind is original VCS made in 1972 by Bell Labs. This was an invention that genuinely created profit from place where no one else was making any money.
I came up with stupid solution but it worked so I don't think it was that stupid. Well over decade ago I was working for tiny digital/advertisement agency. I was website dev/guy dealing with whole IT and next to me was working a graphic designer. Every once in a while some customer was asking to make graphics with specific colors that we couldn't figure out how those would work together. Instead of trying different hues that would work together I came up with idea of simply googling those colors and adding "logo" on the end. Without a fail we was always able to find something that worked good enough to not make you blind. No theory, no advanced methodology just couple of guys, fresh out of school figuring stuff out as best as we could
