Design is irrelevant when it comes to programing sites. We programmers want to get straight to the code and some times design becomes a distraction. I have no issues with the Go site and even the PHP site. It is great until I can quickly find what I'm looking for.

The article does not focus on how IronSpread is doing a cool or unique job but it focuses on how beautiful Python code can be. Just a few lines of it can do so many cool things that make non coders want to learn to code.

Cant agree more. I almost always have email triggers built into the system for ever critical error or failure of the system. When we are being lean on the core product itself building less features... build it when you need it approach ... having a dashboard is kind of luxury.

Cant agree more. Especially startups should be very careful not to get trapped in an infinite loop of engineering. In my previous failed attempt we did just that. Built feature after feature but nothing could ever see the light of the day until it became an overkill.

I guess the problem is not just about PSD to HTML but anything. The web is getting littered all over by low quality spam articles that have only one intention that is SEO back links.

I pretty much think the same way. Having funky title like Jedi or Ninja may sound cool but it is not digestible for the outside world.

I being a Web developer / software engineer prefer being called a Software Engineer cause it is all about software engineering that I deal with and it doesn't always have to do with the web. Being called a programmer narrows my skill set, Cause it is more about finding solution, designing, managing projects and a lot more then just coding/programing.

So I love being called a Software Engineer :)

I happen to signup for a 30 day free trial for a service using my credit card. Yet I always put it aside to try it until my first payment was sent. I guess shorter trials will force the user to actually try it quickly and see if it fits for his requirements.

That's a very good advice for non technical founders. Even though I'm a programmer I always do this if I have a task to be done in a language that i am not familiar with. Just learn what needs to be done... do it and move on...

Forget about BBC.. I'm still hating the new Twitter design. It is awful. It is far more unfriendlier then the older version. Making me completely switch to Hootsuite.

I would call it optimism. I guess that's how every startup starts and grows.

I made the switch from iPhone to BB.. iPhone was my first smart phone. Yet BB is better in so many ways that works for me. One most important feature that I need is over-the-air battery life where iPhone sucks. I still use iPhone for gaming though.
