This is the true reason that I feel like everybody are dancing around. Let's not lie to ourselves, hacking consoles in PS1, PS2 and DC era was for pirating games. Running unlicensed apps or linux was just a nice side effect of true goal. This days it's far less popular because of size, connectivity and prices of games.

I enjoy pretty budget Magicforce Smart 2 68. I'm using it for almost 6 years now and I'm on my 3rd keyboard. First I tried Outemu Blue switches, they was way to loud, shortly after I replaced them with Outemu Brown, which I used for I think 4 years until they started to fail registering clicks (I can't expect much from $40 keyboard), then I bought another one this time with backlit Gateron Browns and I like very much. For some reason the layout is just perfect for me and I'm still using keycaps from the second one because I didn't liked keycaps from backlit version. Text on keycaps is as it was when new, keycaps got a little bit shiny from typing (which I actually like), unfortunately they're turning a little bit yellow since I moved my desk very close to the window 2 years ago. Overall I can recommend it.

Maybe my lack of knowledge is playing a role here but this is why I'm not fan of pushing Wayland everywhere. It seem like X server works pretty nicely while I hear everywhere about performance and functionality issues with Wayland. Wayland supposed to be better solution but I don't understand how since it have so many flaws.

And it's not like it's under Linux or Windows where target hardware configuration is more or less unknown. Building both software and hardware by Apple supposed to be advantage of Macs.

Easier said than done. While I do have recruiters in my network specializing in work for my skill set, pretty much all of them have offers for full time jobs in a big projects.

IMHO education plays huge role. More often people decide to go to collage, then have a career, people also learn what a huge effort have to be put into rising child. On top of that there is so many fantastic things that person can do and have to give up at least to some extend if having a baby. In my opinion those are huge factors. This is a reason why on average successful, well educated people tend to have less children even though they have all the resources to have a lot of them.

Well you still have easier and more difficult distros. You can go easy route and play with Ubuntu or Fedora but you can approach linux from the hard side and try Arch or Gentoo

Classic PC and even some laptops especially with open operating systems are still fantastic tool for learning and tinkering. There's just more options now for people that simply wants to consume media without thinking too much about everything else. PC enthusiast scene is getting bigger every year.

That's a blast from the bast. I played a lot of Soldat in high school in Poland like 15 years ago. We was virtually never doing any actual learning we just played MoH:AA, Unreal Tournament and Soldat for hours.

But what does that change? Major flaw of Wankel engines, apex seals are still there, only now they are fixed in place not on the piston. I think "flipping" the design allows for smaller engine but reliability seems to stay the same. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If Centos is just 1:1 RHEL with removed branding then what new bugs will show up in Centos that are result of that rebranding and will not be fixed by RHEL devs? Is there a code in RHEL that is also copy writed which had to replaced and maintained by Centos devs? What am I missing?

Let's face it, idea for using word "gimp" probably came before they figured out what it stands for. Even now when everyone understands what that means and what consequences are behind using that word, there is still a lot of debate around that name and instead of changing it to something more marketable they are stubborn and are sticking to it. They even allow for bigger market fragmentation (Glimpse fork of GIMP) just to not change that name, that's childish.

While you at it tell your manager how many plugins your putting in your Gimp.

And have only 50-75 miles range, I assume that's under load. Average DHL courier in my country does between 60 and 200 miles daily.

For years people will prefer non-electric cars. From a perspective of someone with his own driveway this is a nobrainer to have electric car but many people in EU live in apartment blocks and there is simply no infrastructure there to charge all necessary cars. I will be able to say that "no one should have a reason to drive petrol car" when 0-100 charge time will be around 15 minutes.

Personally I can live with electric car in UK but electric VANs will be much bigger trouble because they are heavy and can't hold that much cargo. There is a lot of restrictions in law and infrastructure that limits usage of vehicles to under 3.5t
