Technically speaking, Safari is the second most used browser. It’s quite surprising how often I get these “unsupported browser” popups. I still use it as my primary and have FF as a backup. No Chrome needed.

This lacks the easy control over blocking the “aliases” you’re done with. The real pro tip is to use this domain with something like addy.io (paid or self-hosted) where you can either pre-create the aliases or have them dynamically created for you as they become used for the first time - and having control over each of them so you can block it when you want.

Imagine having a business relying on the Pi boards! It’s worth adding Pi4@1GB still costs $35 but any other memory configurations (and Pi5) go for much more now.

The flagship Pi boards are also hitting the thermal design ceiling of what makes sense for this size or platform. Pi 5 is IMO already on that edge because it pretty much needs active cooling and a dedicated power supply. Going past this point means it will compete with much more powerful platforms and likely loose due to it’s architectural limitations.

Is this the crash where the pilot failed to recognize the airspeed sensors had frozen up and he stalled the plane? I could see how this was an Air France fault since the pilot was not properly trained or experienced to fly this plane in these conditions. Not sure why Airbus is responsible.

Convenience. Jellyfin is becoming better and better but still lacks proper support for certain (Apple) devices, while Plex mostly just works.

That being said, Plex apps also lack proper support for HW decoding of some 4K codecs and their AppleTV situation is just plain sad (2 years without an update, no proper HW decoding).

With the Pass being $750, I’m expecting Jellyfin to become a more popular alternative than ever. I’d personally never spend this kind of money on Plex.

And with my kind of luck, I replace about 2-3 tires in the life span of a set due to road hazards.

Weight is only one dimension. What matters is weight and mileage. Our family has two cars but we drive less combined than a typical single person in our area.

When I bought my 2024 Lexus, there was a sticker on the headlamp saying to push the support call button to talk to a rep if I don’t want any vehicle data collected . So I did and the rep told me they can disable it but it will also disable the SOS/911 calls and crash report if I do that. Choosing my own battles, I begrudgingly told them to leave it enabled.

As a consumer, I’d like to see the end of “universal” builds for various apps. It made sense for a while but downloading and installing ~60% larger bins just doesn’t make sense 6 years later.

Anyway, I kinda like PearCleaner for removing the cruft. It’s not perfect but it’s open source and one of the better options imo.

$1200 is a lot, and it would be a straight dealbreaker to me as well. But I also noticed it draws 580W, which is a lot too.

Besides not wanting to waste the money, I doubt the lamp will last 5 years (not 5 years of projected use of XX minutes per day…). 580W converted to heat on a small disk will take its toll.

ASA and ABS really need a good filtration. Like actual filtration, not what the enclosure has. I personally just run a duct to my window and vent outside.

That was my setup until recently. The ads are YT blocked well on iOS but it kept having hiccups on iPadOS. I switched to uBlock in safari and it works well. I wish it showed what is being blocked on each page instead of the little counter in the icon.

I got the same email (for my Pro account). And all the limits they set have nothing to do with their reason for setting them. Pro is so limited already that people “running 24/7” is a total nonsense.
