I agree with you, I even think it's shameful. When I saw it was elctron, I sighted so long I almost choked. Can't even cmd+g nor shift+cmd+f to search, context menu has nothing. Can't even swipe, no gestures etc. ELctron is better than nothing, and I'm grateful, but it tastes bitter. As for performance, somebody if I remember correctly, once asked here "what's the point of 512GB RAM on the mac Studio?" And then someone replied "so you can run two electron apps".

I 100% agree with you, hell, I still don't understand why they didn't merge the thing, if it was beneficial. There is a distinction between noobies comimg up with worthless PR straight copy pasted from an LLM, and that of an unexpected initiative of a user using a sofisticate bot. That's what has been overlooked, it's not a PR from the 'AI', it's a PR from the person using that 'AI'. I don't get all that fear, what the AI going to do now that it filled its context window, besides go 'Actually wait, the user blablabla'

A mac is supposed to be comfortable, macOS 26 "Da hoe" initially lacked various elements that were expected. The current state of logs/logging in macOS is a paradise for an adversary but time-hogging for legitimate user. Shareholders use macs, and they trust teams that studied Nokia. New emojis have a relatively inelastic relationship with sales.

great example, there are like 50% of people that share yours point of view on the subject (cameras not bad), and another 50% who have the strict opposit opinion (cameras not good).

And each is usually hard to convince otherwise, and many judge the opposit group.

It's interesting how we can all have such opposit judgments while sharing roughly the same education/experiences, and that it usually falls into a 50/50 share. Yep, you'r 100% right, it reminds me I once read that of all given jobs offers, 50% would be taken by someone who got introduced internally. Out of personal exeperience as employer, that so was decided by me because it was filling the need instantly. And out of those personal experiences, bad employees brought bad recruits, good employees brought good recruits. Unknown recruits? half good, half bad. Ironically chiraldic.
