Ask HN: What do you want in a tech event?

I'm one of the organizers for the Developer Day series (http://developer-day.com), and as we're putting on an event in Boston next weekend and planning for the future, I'm wondering: what would HN-readers like to see in a local event?

We're already committed to bringing together devs from different backgrounds and technologies and booking great speakers, as well as keeping the price low... Is there something we're missing?
