Would love to see this for notable programmers. Don't know if the data is available for their wake-up times.

Would also love to see how many of these writers/programmers took naps during the day, at what time, and for how long.

This is interesting, but generally meaningless.

Studying successful people doesn't reveal secrets.

It's the problem of induction. There are probably tons of unsuccessful writers that have similar habits and write a ton of horrible writing.

This sort of article also seems to pander to a certain sort of personal control-freakery - "if I just change this one more thing about myself, then I'll be truly successful!"

Okay, so I'm basically seeing that 9am is a pretty good time to wake up; and if you like to wake up earlier, that's good too?

This is still a very small sample of people.
