I was googling around searching for whether this idea for asteroid detection systems I had (inspired by the recent "crowdsourcing" efforts NASA and the White House have been running to generate ideas for this stuff) - The idea I had basically is a swarm of tiny satellites that fly away from the earth spiraling outward and communicating with one another about position, in an effort to detect and then "swarm" around and study asteroids. Just like all my ideas, this too has already been thought of, documented, and posted to the web - by NASA... but like - in 2005 - and reading it, it seems like such a do-able awesome plan. Why are the pages not maintained anymore? Why is noone pursuing this?
