I can't wait for actual AI interviewers. Then we can pit those against the endless secretly-AI-powered candidates we've been seeing over the last half year or so.

I predict strictly in-person interviews, even for full-remote orgs, will be making a comeback with a vengeance.

if i can get an ai to talk for me and give my opinions, i could have a way bigger impact influencing the ai on where the code/design smells are and what to do about them, vs actually attending all the meetings

Has anyone actually tried any of these AI interview tools? From their website, it looks like the interviews are extremely short (max duration of 20 minutes?), even if you pay $55+/mo, which really limits its utility.

I can explain why we intentionally keep interviews to 20 minutes - research and our experience show that's the sweet spot for productive technical interviews. Longer sessions often lead to mental fatigue and diminishing returns, while our focused format helps candidates maintain peak performance and get actionable feedback. Plus, you can do multiple sessions to practice different skills, making it much more effective than one long, exhausting interview

I understand the privacy concern - that's why we don't store any video/audio data and only use practice sessions to provide immediate feedback. We're developers ourselves and take data privacy seriously.

This is disgustingly inhumane and that "happy times" video makes me sick. Linkedin comes to mind.

Good luck to the people behind it though, this will likely do very well.

When this will be the norm, I'm probably out.
