If it's a premium device and the monthly/yearly is like 5$/60$, so after two years, it makes 120$, after four years 240$.

My mouse is a Logitech wireless. Small, light, good fit for my hand, worked on every surface I ever moused on, one AA-battery lasts for >2 years in my use case (I fed it a rechargeable with 2400mA, will last for centuries).

I payed for it 40$ or so. It came with a keyboard, wireless, one AA-battery. More I don't know, never used it actually.

So, yes! I won't buy.

It's not a subscription - it's rent.

I will not participate in this dystopian world of never actually owning anything. It's how the Oligarchs intend to guard and keep their wealth.

it had great software and services that you’d constantly update

Since when is having to update constantly a selling point? Software updates are a pain in the ass.
