No cloud service needed.
The Find My Logger app reads a cache file generated by the official Find My app, which is periodically updated when the Find My app is open.

AFAIK "Find My" is 100% a feature of iCloud, the option to turn it on or off is only available when you've signed into iCloud.

I am so annoyed by apps that offer unspecified "basic service" for free, with unstated advanced functionality for an undisclosed license payment.

I crawled the product site and its Product Hunt page.

Product descriptions should be "no surprise".
