What does Starfish do? Their website makes vague references to "decentralized organizations", "focus on payments and banking". I cannot tell if this means it's all cryptocurrencies or what their work actually accomplishes.

Excellent. I've been meaning to explore into elixir but the lack of types has made me drag my feet.

I look forward to typed-Elixir! Some interesting projects targeting the Erlang VM are Gleam [0] and caramel (ML-like, but unfortunately no longer active) [1].

Im so thrilled to see this come into Elixir!

Ive recently transitioned away from writing Elixir full time (nearly 7 years) to a role that uses a array of strongly typed languages.

While I still love the ErlangVM and Elixir, the benefits of typing are hard to understate.

So happy to see that I may get to have my cake and eat it to some day.
