This is amazing.

Definitively blows away Steve’s bullshit that the majority of users want a return to normal and that it’s just a few moderators behaving like “landed gentry” (Which is pretty rich coming from him).

The results were conclusive:
r/pics: return to normal, -2,329 votes; “only allow images of John Oliver looking sexy,” 37,331 votes.
r/gifs: return to normal, -1,851 votes; only feature GIFs of John Oliver, 13,696 votes.

This also excellently paves the way to encourage and support John Oliver to cover the saga and bring it from its current large but niche audience into wider society.

Unless folks follow tech or reddit I’ve found that most people around me are not across the saga.
