For anyone who doesnt know, when it gets cold, properly cold, there is no almost no wind. Below about -40c weather largely stops. Too cold for snow (-30c) becomes too cold for wind. Days are short, nights long, the sun only ever low on the horizon. There just isnt any green alternative during a northern winter.

The answer is biodiesel.

Planes have the same problem. It's too difficult to change the method to get energy, but it's easier to get "green" carbons.

For some task, paper is still better than the modern alternatives. For some task, liquid fuel is better than the modern alternatives. Just get a green source of paper and fuel when they must be used.

Should we even worry? If it were only remote communities using fossil fuels, the climate would barely be affected. It's only a problem because everyone is using them.

This is the highest fruit - once we've picked all the rest, we can easily afford to leave this one hanging.

Currently, the federal government provides a subsidy on diesel used to generate electricity since it’s exempt from the carbon tax.

Paying people to do stuff you don't want them to do once again proves to be a bad idea.
