Has Anyone Archived/Backed Up Twitter?

Yeah yeah, twitter sucks, but it's also a time capsule of culture, conversation and memes.

If some dude decided that it should delete all, or certain groups of people's tweets, are they gone forever?

Is there a redundant scraping of it?

I couldn't find a service that didn't link to live Twitter.
