I think that after the pandemic most people realized that having a life outside work is better. Sometimes it's better to have less money but have a better quality of life. That's why I personally don't like really big cities, yeah the pay is better but you have to think about the stress wuth living in a big place.

It's true. It is never enough. If $100K+ a year is not enough why not build a startup instead? I'm sure she is clever enough to do just that given being a Stanford graduate whilst being an ex-JP Morgan banker.

Must have lots of connections being made at those two institutions to 'change the world'.

Today, Hossain is at Facebook, working on something that interests her more: public policy. As a program manager, she is involved in the company's efforts to improve election integrity after the company came under intense scrutiny over its actions during the 2016 election.

Facebook of all places. That is even worse and taking a reduced pay as well.

So what is the whole point of it all when you can both make significantly more by building a startup whilst also doing what you love at the same time? Why do you need to compromise with a pay cut?
