Thanks for building the product that taught me how to set up and admin a Linux box. I wouldn't know a tenth of what I know now without the Slicehost tutorials and the ability to have my own little sandbox on the web.

I have to chime in here to praise the slicehost tutorials. They are absolutely the best resource.

Any word on what they are doing with the slicehost articles after they shut slicehost down?

The articles have been going in parallel for both Rackspace and Slicehost for a while now.

Btw, credit where credit is due on the articles, the mastermind there was Paul Tomes, who originally had started writing these articles on his own site - http://usefuljaja.com/ (halted when we hired him).

We hired Paul on in 2007 and he really made the articles site what it is, including helping to hire and train all the people currently producing content there (e.g. Jered from #slicehost on freenode).

Thanks for Slicehost, I ran a server there for quite a while before it was bought and it was great. Devstructure looks like good cleverness as well!
