Currently learning Japanese so I'll try it. First question... why does the logo have an E in it while the name starts with an L?

I believe it's because the Japanese word for English is "Eigo", starting with an E. The iOS app's name is 「英語の瞬間翻訳トレーニング - Lala」 (Lala - Instant translation training for English), with "Eigo" as the first word.

Looks good, although you might want a native English speaker to proof read the copy, doesn’t bother me but there are enough mistakes to be off putting to some.

Looks like it's aimed at Japanese people learning English rather than the opposite way around. I wonder why their is no Japanese homepage.
